  1. Anythings possible,.............. First bring it home remove the engine, gearbox, exhaust, remove the seat, take off the wheels you should be left with a very rusty frame and seized swinging arm............... which (i can assure you) will be impossible to remove.. Get a new frame and swinging arm..........paint it/powder coat it,........ buy new wheels brake shoes, drums and tyres. replace ALL wiring, and control cables source a new seat and foam and base..........the old ones will have rotted away. source another engine, gearbox and exhaust....remember nothing was salvageable on the found seized bike and you should have a nice MX bike........................... It reminds me of Trigger in Only falls and horses stating he's owned the same broom for 20 odd years. But it looks brand new says del. Well yeah says Trig..........its had 17 new heads and 14 new handles!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I can assure you ....it is, especially to the child. Accident and Emergency Charge Nurse.

    come back Grouch

and whats wrong with having a Honda?!! I happen to have a Honda!........and a yamaha!..........and i love my honda!.............CB 400/4 I'd understand if you said Suzuki......or triumph! (provoke a fight) Are you implying............. he's brown bread?
  5. It's more than likely a simple problem................ Has the 'kill switch' been grounded? Did removing the turn signals disturb the wiring to the kill switch itself? Does the kill switch wiring go into the headlight bowl and has it become disconnected there?
  6. No particular order either..... Marc Bolan Trex - Get it on Eddie cochran- C'mon Everybody Buddy Holly- Rave On Squeeze - Goodbye Girl Madonna- True Blue
  7. Assuming its done a few miles I think it looks right. Not checked mine to compare it!
  8. Bl**dy funny that! He'd get £200 if he'd sent to "you been framed."...especially the ending! I know it stares you in the face from the beginning..... but it was unexpected all the same!
  9. Don't frighten the lady Foamy! Just disconnect the wires and tuck them out of the way, so they won't touch the battery terminals. If you did happen to short the battery with your tools ie touch both terminals with your screwdriver, ((rest assured its not easy to do it, its designed in a way to reduce the risk of being able to bridge both terminals)) anyway you'll get a nice spark and it'll make you jump, but you won't get electrocuted...it's only 12volt. Your household mains is 240v ...enough to kill you if you touch those! but 12v....no, just a big spark! Sparks on the other hand don't go well with petrol fumes!........................................

Impressive. I assume Tyres must be cheap for this bike or has he just got loads of cash? In which case what does he do for a living?

    Down south,

When I read this i thought you meant Down South!! as in down here in Sussex....Not Up North!! In fact anything upwards is North! If I go South I'll end up in the Channel.
  13. Yup, never was any good at maths!...... thought £20 off was better than 15% off!!!!.........DOH!!!
  14. ROADHAWK RIDE I've just purchased one of these from EVANS CYCLES using their fathers day promotion code DAD20 (not an online option) over the phone and got it for £129.....instead of £149. free delivery too! it comes with a wide range of mounts so it looks like I'll be fitting it to my Skid lid, cycle helmet and car dash!
  15. I've seen this before, I think you'll find its out of stock! Its cheaper to run the 'advert' for the part, listing it with a grossly inflated price to stop people clicking on it, rather than having to pay relisting fees until its back in stock.
  16. yamaha .com might at least give you a part number to work with though. German e bay have several gasket sets for DT50LC http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-Motordichtsatz-RD-DT-50-LC-RD50-RD50LC-RC-50-/150646765318?pt=Motorrad_Kraftradteile&hash=item23133f3706#ht_731wt_721 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-DT50LC-Motor-Dichtsatz-gasket-set-Enduro-DT50-LC-DT-50-RZ50-Dichtung-/161025311947?pt=Motorrad_Kraftradteile&hash=item257ddb44cb#ht_353wt_721 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-DT-50-LC-Motor-Dichtsatz-komplett-/390573980545?pt=Motorrad_Kraftradteile&hash=item5af005fb81#ht_1735wt_958 and ebay portugal have one too!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POCHETTE-KIT-JOINTS-MOTEUR-YAMAHA-DT-50-LC-DT50-DT50LC-/400494275518?pt=FR_JG_Moto_Pi%C3%A8ces&hash=item5d3f51abbe#ht_923wt_958 Which may also give you a contact!
  17. I wasn't aware you'd tried them as it wasn't listed in the first post. You may have also tried A Sutton http://www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co.uk/spares/modelImage.asp?modelID=7777&m=YAMAHA+DT50LC+&uID=0 and yamaha motor .com http://www.yamahamotorsports.com/partviewer/default.aspx?ls=sport#/Yamaha/DT50LC_-_1990/CYLINDER_HEAD_-_CYLINDER/DT50LC%7c%7e90_(1990_MOTORCYCLE)/CYLINDER_HEAD_-_CYLINDER_(DT50LC%7c%7e90_-_1990) I looked up the DT50LC and it would appear to be made from 1990 to 1994 the ones listed in both CMSNL and suttons and yamaha motor all have a square cylinder, water cooled rad and front drum brake. if not post a photo so we can see what you're referring to please.
  18. Have you tried CMSNL.com? http://www.cmsnl.com/yamaha-dt50a-dtlc-1990_model9573/partslist/

    Nicknames

I remember seeing the Matrix in 1999 and i thought NE0 was so cool, just 3 characters! I subsequently use it on all the various forums I'm on.
  21. Ignore my suggestion of a fixed part.................... It seems you're not the only one with the same problem...... Over on a sister site http://viragotechforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=38087 Page 2 has the solution!!
  22. Personally i wouldn't drill any more holes in it, once you do that its going to be "last resort" because if you put your flat blade screwdriver in and snap off the remaining sides your only option left will be to drill it out! if you've got a hole in the centre I 'd consider a "screw extractor". assuming you're not familiar......its like a "tap" but with an opposite thread, so as you wind it in and it screws itself in, you are in fact screwing it in anticlockwise so the actual part , all being well will start to unscrew. That is providing you're confident it is a screw in the first place and not pressed or sweated in! in other words it was not designed to be removed! but fixed in a factory set position.......somethings are!
  23. and for those wondering what we're talking about ............. The tank design comes in different colours depending on the colour of the tank (not all colour variations are shown)
