Even injected bikes can over fuel your bike Capt, best to get a Yam dealer to check it tho as they are a bit complicated to setup. That's about 19 Ft Lbs of torque, sorry I'm old, but are you saying they are loose or that they stick out from the Hub? If they are loose then you have to nip them down to the right setting but if they are sticking out you probably have the wrong bolts in there or the threads are damaged perhaps, if your worried then your best bet is to take it off and have a look at it DON'T guess LOOK. You say that "some were left loose" to get the plate flush, that is obviously wrong so your going to have to take it off and have a look at the problem, these are the sort of short cuts you use on the side of the road to get you home cos if you leave it as a long term fix they usually bite you in the arse.

Yeah that would work, hammer out the middle and knock as much away as you can. Tho not sure what that would actually achieve as all you would have is a stuck piston with a big hole in it? Getting it out of gear or disconnected from the gear box would give you some ability to move the piston which you can't at the moment if it's stuck in gear, you could then hammer the piston down the barrel with nothing else connected. Just a thought.

Soak the barrel in diesel over night to loosen the piston, then heat the barrel. Should work but you might have to do it a few times. Steel plate over the top of the piston, your local engineers should have some plate knocking about, get them to cut you a lump to fit inside the hole.

Sorry folks your wrong, I like Rossi followed his career for years and he was WRONG, what he did was dangerous regardless of the provocation (if any) I was told when I first started road racing that if you were to force another rider off the road deliberately you were finished right there right now, Rossi should have been disqualified and pulled from the track, I don't care he's the G O A T right now he's wrong.

Fraid you have come up against the "we don't sell those separately" syndrome, I bet they are supplied by an outside manufacturer and they have no control over the item other than to order a complete one, if you know who makes it (for Yamaha) you might get lucky and they will supply it direct to you but my bet is you can't and they won't.

Oh FFS that head stock has never been greased, at least not since it was in the factory, it's a wonder it never locked in place. At least the lower forks look better now (well done) if it was mine I would do the brakes anyway as the PO seems a bit of a tit. While you have it apart check that the brake hoses are not stretched or cracked, if they bulge when you apply the brakes they need to be replaced, I bet they were the originals, if you do decide to replace them buy stainless steel wrapped ones, a bit more expensive but give you a much better feeling brake. Nice job so far keep it up. Something like this

As NSD say's fit a set of bar risers, just had a set on mine and the difference is just amazing, more adjustable than the originals and much more upright stance when riding, the whole bike feels different and more responsive. Some are really expensive but if your smart then you find the ones you want then go to a USA site and buy them from there, even with the postage it works out to be 1/2 the price of UK ones. Mine were £109 a set UK and delivered from the US (3 days) £68, no brainer really.
