the tank is plastic and i have cleaned it and blew out hoses.i will fit a filter but cant see that working

hi folks.i just bought my son a wee pw50.it was a non runner.i noticed there was no tube going from the oil bottle to the pump so i pre mixed at 32/1.i took off the carb and cleaned and blew out jets.put it back on and away it went.going great for the first day.next day it started and idles but would'nt take full throttle kinda stuttered.so took off carb and cleaned it again.went great for another day.now im having to do this everytime we take it out.im using carb cleaner and compressed air to blow the jets out.do you think i need new jets or what?

Yamaha sR125 1992 won't start!!
hit the starter a tap with a hammer.if that works take the starter off,open it up and spray wd40 around while turning it to try and free it up

hi folks.my yamaha sr125 is smokin a bit from the exhaust[white smoke]could it be anything else other than rings.anything i should check before i take the head off?

hi folks.im finding it hard to get a second hand engine local for my sr125.is there another engine that would fit without to much bother

sr 125 piston burnt
hi i bought a non running yamaha sr 125.the guy told me it was stolen on him and got it back this way.the ignition barel smashed,fuse and wires pulled out,tank beat with hammer[or something like that] and a few other minor things.problem is when i got it home and wired it to turn over,there was no or little compression.[you dont get that because it was stolen].anyway i took the head off and the top of the piston is badly burnt and melted.the barel is ok.im going to put a new piston and rings on but before i do should i be looking for something else like what caused the piston to melt in the first place?and what else should i check before going ahead with the new piston

i took carb off AGAIN today.completely striped it.jets,choke and mixture screw out.cleaned everything,blew it out,put it back together exactly the way haynes manual tell you,and guess what.JUST THE ****ING SAME.im beat

i have a new idle jet in.ive tried switching jet for jet from the old broken carb i have which i boiled,poked with a strand of wire brush,blew out with air gun and sprayed with carb cleaner.but as you say somethings not right but fucked if i can find it

everything set to haynes manual.the choke works with a knob on the side of the carb.i think its meant to stay out when you pull it but it springs back.you need to hold it out to start from cold.once it fires up you let it go and it will tick over sweet.if you pull it full on when warm it will die but half on it will rev up and you can snap the throttle ok.sorry about all the shit im just trying to explain

hi.i still cant seem to get my yamaha sr125 running 100%.it idles and runs ok its just if you give it quick throttle from idle it will die[bit of a bummer taking off at lights]i have checked and cleaned all i can think of.this is,carb and jets many times[carb cleaner,air gun].have fitted new idle/slow jet,air filter seated well no leaks,inlets to carb no leaks[sprayed around with carb cleaner no different]float height and fuel height ok. mixture screw to the best i can get it[one and a half turns out]peacock and fuel lines clear.valve clearance ok.new plug which looks ok[nice and brown]moved clip on needle up one,then down one notch.tried fresh fuel.checked coil and lead for spark leak[at night]taped up lead anyway.fixed small blow out in exhaust.it will just happen from idle,if the revs are up slightly it will take the quick throttle ok.i could live with it[i guess]but its the first thing people do when they get on it[quick twist and it dies]HELP!

brakes jerking
my front brake [disc]is jerking when im stopping.is it the disc or pads or do they need bled

matching the [T] mark dont work
when doing a valve clearance on my yam sr 125 i done as the manual said and lined the [T] mark on the rotor rim to the arrow on the crankcase. the valves were closed tight so set them to the manual setting.started it up and they rattled like fu k.tried again,this time testing piston was at tdc by putting a plastic tie in the spark plug hole.now a mark on the cam chain sprocket seemed to line up with another but the [T] mark was way off.valves were way too lose so set them again this time its ok.is my timing off.the bike is back to the same as it was[dies if you give it throttle].

throttle responce slow
he wee sr 125 is driving well and idles well its only when you give it quick trottle from idle it dies.ive tried moving the mixture screw out 1 then trying it every quarter turn until i was 2 and a half out.i also moved the needle clip down 1 notch.tried it with air filter foam out.all no good.what else could i try?

proper decals

when you say check oil level do you mean forks. if so how [kinda new at this]

the wee sr 125 yam engine is running well now,but before i strip it to paint i need to sort the forks out.they push down too easy.what do i need to do to tighten them up

happy days.she is purring like a kitten.it was my stupid fault.i had the throttle cable coming round the wrong side of the tank stretching the cable thanks anyway,im sure ill be back as i have to strip her down to paint.by the way should i brush paint the frame with smooth hammerite or spray gloss its black?

thanks for that.i still have the old broken carb with jets.i will take it off tomorrow after work,give it a good clean and change the jets about.mine is a 1992 model,the carb i got is off a 1995 one i wonder if there is any difference in them.also ill get a sponge and some long self tappers and try it.let you know how it works out.thanks again

got sr 125 going
the cover is off the air filter.i have it but no screws.the foam is in a bad way tears,rips.ive tried holding the cover on but no difference.i got the carb off ebay,i think its off an earlier model,would that make a difference
