....But on a SLED? Yama BackFlip I wonder how much Yamaha paid this guy to pull off this stunt?

Old addage for this scenario..... "Ride like you're Invisible" ....meaning they don't see you anyways, so you need to ride like you're not there in the 1st place. Take it from a guy who's rode almost everyday, year-round for the past 20 years...... You've got to let the bloody cagers know you're there cuz they have waaaaaay too many distractions in their heated comfy cockpits, to notice anything with less than 4 wheels on it. & the more time you spend in the saddle, the more you'll develop almost a 6th sense of where these idiots MIGHT move to next Friendly tip: ALWAYS ride with your headlight in their mirrors whenever possible.....seems like the only plausible way to get their attention!

to the forum Steve That's a Sweet lookin' R1 you've got there

& Nothin' beats a bike for filtering through rush-hour traffic.... Cages aren't very condusive to that task

to the forum DevonBoy You might be able to use the alloy end can off the Husky.....IF it'll match up to the diameter of whatever pipe you end up getting for the 4stroke lump. Sounds like a cool project .....love to see some piccies of it when you're finished.

Bottom Line:......ALL Thumps have to be tended to with a spanner periocally......nature of the Beast Being an XT.....10 & 12mm spanners will tighten up most everything
-
Good News BlueStreak.....always good when it ends up being an inexpensive fix I used to do tire work for a bike shop & remember hearing that same thing about Avons in particular.

Tell me about it! .....just spent the last 5 months over in Bend where I saw it rain only twice while I was there .....& of course as soon as I move back to the valley.....the bottom falls out! Maybe have a look here?..... Dennis Kirk You can order a FREE metric cruiser catalog from 'em.....& they sell a variety of exhaust systems.....I bought a Kerker from 'em once with great results

Not quite roadworthy yet Merv.......it seems to run well, but I'm waiting for caliper seal kits to show up soon as they need a rebuild......then just a new battery & re-up my registration....& I'll be re-aquanting my neighbors with the Ol' 2-Wheeled ChanSaw soon after & have No Fear.....as I've been dodging Tomahawk's & Arrows for almost 19 years now ..... Got a pretty good system going by now
