Been seriously contemplating carrying a BattleAxe in my tank bag........ The ToeCutter from MadMax had the right idea me thinks.

I rode an '82 Seca400 for 40k miles.......only shimmed the valves once in that time.

Had this same issue with my 550 Seca once....ended up finding the Starter Circuit cut-off relay under the frame backbone, above the coils. Yanked the relay & jumper-wired the connector to complete the circuit. Best of Luck with it.

Tend to agree there Slippery Have always liked the FZ1 ever since they 1st came out.

After you get your Battery sorted...... & depending on WHERE you park your bike......a good space heater can make those cold starts ALOT easier. It pre-heats the oil as well as the ignition.......my old XJ550 took to it well.

I did 40k miles on my old XS400RJ.......miss that Bike! I do know that V&H also makes nice can & 2-1 system for 'em.......almost bought another 400Seca a coupla years back, with that exhaust on it.....sounded great. ....but alas it was sold before I could scrape up the cash. BTW.... to the forum
