Tips for removing damaged oil drain plug
Gently tapping around the outside to shock the internal thread a little, and a decent pair of mole grips should undo it I reckon, failing that, like DT says knock onto it another socket, but slightly smaller I'd use an imperial socket, if it's 13mm try a 7/16" socket, as thats the equivelent to 12mm or near as damn it, your local recycling centre will have a bucket full of old sockets and tools dirt cheap.

Bike Engine Car Conversion, What Engine To Use?
Joe, I know you initially put up that you wanted to do a project with a car and bike engine, but have you thought about making a trike as your project, as theres many different ways you can go about doing this, typical one is bike front end with a vw back end, and it would hone any engineering skills you'd need to learn, along the way. Although if you wanted to go with the trike idea using a Reliant Robin as the chassis and banging a big bike engine onto it, give the member Up Yours a p.m, as he just loves these type of trikes

SR125 flat battery, light switch to blame?
No Ruby it wouldn't, although an alarm or an immobiliser would, do you have one on the bike? if not, it sounds like the fault is your battery, or the magneto not charging the battery back up, take the battery off and charge it fully and see if its keeping its charge.

Yamaha V50P 1976 - tidy up
Now then, I was reading something recently about putting the top end back on, aparently if you put a circlip into the piston, put the piston with the rings lined up inside the barrel, then drop the barrel down onto the con rod and small end bearing, then push the gudgen pin through, then the other circlip, it's meant to be easier than dropping the barrel onto the piston, whilst trying to keep both rings lined up on the locating pins blindly,

You just gotta see this
It seems that it isn't just Russia where there's nutters on the roads, if you live in Asia and own a car or a bike, a road is the last place you want to be on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9E4LDUe5K_4&feature=player_detailpage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsyGddGgDSU&feature=player_detailpage
