  2. Hi, and welcome to the forum Kamang,
  3. Columbo, where abouts do you live? I take it you're in the U.K? I'm sure theres a few members in here that are local to you, that you could hook up with for a ride out, or even put you on to a decent 3-4 hour route somewhere, if they live nearby, they'll know all the best roads.for a fun ride out.
  4. The good thing about them is, that when you click on part link, it shows other compatable bikes for same part, on top rightt of page.

  7. Now that's one project I'd love to see turn up at Squires, Drewps, and quite apt loking at the shower that turned up this year And I'll bet the pop group on the ??? caught your eye too
  8. Actually it's a Notts Florest forward, it's only way they can get in the box nowadays!!
  9. Hark at this plonka then.
  10. It'll take some topping that
  11. Aye, they do it because they knead the dough!!
  12. and a couple more http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNKKeBI8hzg&feature=player_detailpage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y34ZEs5Ohgk&feature=player_detailpage

  14. Aye crackin piece of kit, we get the odd one or two, flying over en route to Dartmoor. In fact theres rumours that a lad who's parents live in the village, flies pretty damn low whenever he's going over
  15. He, he,he, Ayup Weimi, nice ta see ya back mate.
  16. Weimi, if you need a proper stapler to bang the cover on, gizza shout, and I can send it up to you, but it does have "come back" written on it. Oh aye Ventura, you couldn't do us a big favour could you please, I've just bought a second hand Clarke Strong Arm, and need a smaller bike lift such as yours in the pic, could you take a couple of close ups of it please, as reckon I can knock one up in an afternoon, just need to see more detail. ta very muchly. Oh and has your platform/table got the front wheel vice with it? so I can see how thats made too please, I rang Clarkes up for a quote and they want £80 for one, and again I reckon half a day should be doable in knocking one up.
  17. Using the Foxhunter radar, it's 115 miles, but shhhhh, don't tell anybody because it's classified.
  18. Stu, you may also need oil sealtoo mate, as more often than not, they get buggered when it comes to prying them out, and like John says use decent bearings such as Komo ones they are about £30 for the front set plus £9 for the oil seal. http://www.yamahamot...elID=9796&uID=0
  19. Stu, you may not find any play in the bearings, but how about grease?
  20. Am thinking this thread should be moved to the jokes page
  21. Aye it's sounding like new rollers are in order, tell him to look for Malossi ones, and it's important to get the right weight rollers for his sports exhaust (may need plug chops to get right mind) and deglazing the clutch shoes will be a big help too, but the 2 belts? thats a new one to me, sounding like a new belt too, but tell him to avoid forking out for Kevlar ones, a decent heavy duty one such as Polini will do. 22. How about a 2003 - 2007 DT125RE? it has a powervalve set up, de-restricting at the clocks gets you to around 80mph, nice riding position, you can play about with the suspension dog bones, and lower it, (longer dog bones shorten the ride height) electric start, and depending on budget anywhere from £1000 - £2000, will get you one. Not a thumper like the XT, but for an all round fun machine, does what it says on the tin, till you get your DA, anyroad. Just a thought P.s I suffer from back problems too, and once I've lifted leg over the bike alls fine, plus I raised the bars on mine so it gives me a better ride height, (straighter back)
  23. Oh aye, while he's messing about inside the tranny casing, tell him to look right at the back of the variator, and if theres still a big washer there, tell him to take it out, as it's a speed restricter washer. You can also leave off the 3 screw roller / ramp cover, as it allows the rollers to go further up the ramps, just be careful when putting the variator, back on mind, and while he's doing all this, tell him to check the rollers for any flat spots on them, and change rollers if he has any. Btw no grease, whatsoever.!!
