Did ya ever see a chimney that is puffing out shitty black and gray smoke,,,,,because the lazy fooker that light the fire couldnt be arsed doing it right. They put in the fire-lighters and a few sticks,,,,,thats ok,,,,but then they just fook on some wet soggy sods of Turf and think the fire will be great. Dumb-ass's,,,,,,,half hour later their there with the poker stirring the so called fire arround ta try and get it going, eventually the fire will go out and the lazy barstwearts will be cold. Thats kinda what your mates bike will be like. :eusa_doh:

Good vid ya got there Drewps,,,,,,,,, we did indeed set off into the sunset,,,,,it was nice weather all the way up. Squires Cafe to my front door is 332mls,,,,, minus the ferry of course. (2 hours) We stopped at Scots Corner,, John fueled up,,we had the craic for a few mins then parted our seperate ways. I took the A66 heading for M6 and was in Carisle in an hour. John was on the A1 for Edinbouragh. Glad ya made it home John with your dodgy sprocket bearing. My back tyre is compleatly fooked. Good pic of the gang there OldGit. An elderly woman walked into the Royal Bank of Canada one morning with a purse full of money. She wanted to open a savings account and insisted on talking to the president of the Bank because, she said, she had a lot of money. After many lengthy discussions (after all, the client is always right) an employee took the elderly woman to the president's office. The president of the Bank asked her how much she wanted to dep osit. She placed her purse on his desk and replied, '$165,000'. The president was curious and asked her how she had been able to save so much money . The elderly woman replied that she made bets. The president was surprised and asked, 'What kind of bets?' 'Done', the elderly woman answered. 'But given the amount of money involved, if you d on't mind I would like to come back at 10 ' clock tomorrow morning with my lawyer as a witness.' 'No problem', said the president of the Bank confidently. That night, the president became very nervous about the bet and spent a long time in front of the mirror examining his testicles, turning them this way and that, checking them over again and again until he was positive that no one could consider his testicles as square and reassuring himself that there was no way he could lose the bet. The next morning at exactly 10 o'clock the elderly woman arrived at the president's office with her lawyer and acknowledged the $25,000 bet made the day before that the president's testicles were square. The president confirmed that the bet was the same as the one made the day before. Then the elderly woman asked him to drop his pants etc. So that she and her lawyer could see clearly. The president was happy to oblige. The elderly woman came closer so she could see bette r and asked the president if she could touch them. 'Of course', said the president. 'Given the amount of money involved, you should be 100% sure.' The elderly woman did so with a little smile. Suddenly the president noticed that the lawyer was banging his head against the wall. He asked the elderly woman why he was doing that and she replied, 'Oh, it's probably because I bet him $100,000 that around 10 o'clock in the morning I would be holding the balls of the President of the Royal Bank of Canada !'

Sure, they have a big fancy shop with lots of bikes for sale,,,,,,but thats it,,,,,,ive herd so many bad stories about them. 2nd,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,read your "HAYNES" manual 2nite till your eyes are bleeding and wont stay open. 3rd,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I know a good lad in Co.Meath that will get your bike sorted propperly,,,,,,,,,,hes cheep and good. Ya want his number ??? The 2stroke oil you have is fine. 10w40 semi synthetic motorbike oil Goes in your gearbox,,,,,,,,,yes beside the brake peddel The coolant ya have is fine,,,,,,,,,,,, get all the air outa the system And lastly,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, read your manual ! Are ya sure ya really really cleaned the carb,,,,,,sounds like blocked pilet jet. The overflowing prob is the float sticking or the needle and its seat are worn and might need replacing. Sticking float will flood the carb and cause engine to stop like your saying. Start a new thread of your own on this matter,,,,,,more chance of getting help m8

Well, im sure you could get longer after-market mirrors,,,,,,measure the length of yours and search E-bay for longer. Other than that you will just have to tuck in your elbows quickly whenever you look in the mirror.

Well the next time i come back to the first thread i was reading when i click on it the thread would automatically jump down to post 8 because i had read all the posts down to 7. Sounds like the float in that carb is sticking or the seat and needle may be worn. First try tapping the float bowl to see will it free,,,,,,,if not then youll have to look at the needle and its seat. Hope This Helps

Cheers for that Ttasky,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i forgot i allready had a plug ref chart somewhere. Ill get out and run her at different speeds/revs then after each run ill check plugs out. I was giving her a service and now thats its done i'm probably just over paranoied. ill check it out the weekend and hopefully get it sorted.

Well i do very much rather not to do any work on her. She runs fine. On the other hand i'm about to clock up 1000 + miles on her in 2 weeks time and id hate to think that im tramping along the road with the pistons running a little hotter that they should. She has a K&N oil filter on her,,,,,,,now i didnt look at air filter but im presuming thats K&N also. Mabey thats giving her a little more air rather than the standerd filter. Other than that the bike is totally standard, so air filter changed but mabey carbs not adjusted to suit. Not that they should need adjusting ! I think ill leave her as she is ! More thaughts please ???

Ok, last weekend i looked at the plugs on me Fazer. They were rather whiteish in colour,,,,,, like new plugs with just the tinyist bit of light gray. Anyway i put them back in for now,,,,they look fine, right gap and everything. The bike runs good and smoth as it is,,,,,,,,,SO,, Should i leave the thing as it is ( not broken so dont fix ) OR should i make a little adjustment and try get her to run a bit more rich ? ? ? What ye think ?

If ya say when your going then peops might know About 2 hour ride is it ? One tank of fuel,,,,,,,,,, no probs Enjoy it !
