  1. your best bet would be to run a fused wire direct from the battery m8 put a 12 volt switch on there somewhere, as to speakers on the bike.....its not worth it as you wont hear anything whilst riding. as to fiber optic or led lights....unless its something a bit special (like the tron bike) then it will just look tacky but thats just my opinion.
  2. ok il get a quote tomorrow and il get OG's made 1st for a sample
  3. well im hoping to get them done for the squiers meet then i can bring them down (saves on delivery charge ) im liking the badge idea for the squiers meet! but would it be worth having a patch? then you could stitch it onto the back of the t-shirt instead of the big yam logo? or we could go ott and have it so 4 patches make the yam logo on the back? sort of like go each year to get a different part of the patch which all in all make the yam logo? anyway done a couple of changes but we need to get the design set in stone asap then i can get on with a sample
  4. i had to use paint its just for example
  5. do i have to pay royalties drewps? cant i just bribe you with a pint and a mars bar? think the only person to have trouble with the screen name printed on the back would be up.yours but im open to design tweaks anyway iv come up with a design .......if you want to change something then im all ears, iv still got to get a price but im thinking maximum £15 for a personalized t-shirt. here is the design iv come up with but feel free to post your own

    YOC T-shirt

hi all i work next to a T-shirt printing factory and was wondering if anyone wanted a t-shirt with the YOC logo and there screen name ? im open to ideas on T-shirt design but i was thinking something like the YOC logo on the back and sleeves (like the patch) with peoples screen names across the shoulder blades? not sure on price il have to get a quote
  7. loosen the chain you need about 2 inch of play in it. any more and its too loose any less and its going to whine.
  8. my hobbies are.(not in any order) 1. tinkering (il take apart owt i can and play with it) 2. engineering (il design and build things that sometimes dont work) 3. winding the misses up (without getting thrown out of the house) 4. music (creating my own stuff, i play drums and guitar but not at the same time) 5. trying not to let the misses get hold of my cash (harder than it sounds) 6. helping people that get stuck (dunno why, its just the way i am) 7. picking on the kids (but not making them cry)
  9. ok....get a new filter on there and clean the spark plugs then try it.
  10. are you sure its oil and not just black carbon leeking from the exhaust ports? if the exhaust gasket is perished then you will get like a black ring round the exhaust hole. mix that with a little water and it would look like oil. oh and be very careful with the exhaust bolts/nuts iv snapped the head off one and you cant get it back out without machining! so take your time!
  11. well for starters you need to see if the controls clear the tank....if not then you will need risers for them. as to riding position you lean forward more and your legs straighten out (not good if you have a bad back..... for some reason i tend to find my hands go numb after about 40 min
  12. have you got the manual? on pdf? if not pm me your e-mail and il send you one not sure what carb model it is but i know it inside and out!
  13. get a can of yellow spray paint and put "THINK!" on his bonnet ........but yeah get his reg plate and be careful m8
  14. ha ha clasic! you know why they said that dont you? so when it goes pop you can take it there so they can make some money re-building the engine. but anyway the general rule is when incresing air flow weather it be filter, head or exhaust you need to "correct" the fuel mix which usualy means going up a few jet sizes. if i was you id check my spark plugs and make sure its not running lean!
  15. yeah my insurance people arnt botherd about cosmetic mods iv told them about everything iv done to the bike ......and they said as long as the performance isnt enhanced then i can do what i like cosmetic wise. and yeah its not going to get into any BHS mag any time soon its not a show bike its my daily comute to work so not fussed.
  16. dont need an inspection as far as i know ........iv notified the dvla of the engine change and they didnt mention an inspection of any kind. the engine has the same power as the old one (its just lighter) and chassis wise nothing structural has been changed. as far as i know you need to do something to either the brakes, frame, shocks or wheels for it to need a vosa check. all iv done is put an engine in it and the rest is cosmetic. as to the exhaust iv got to make it quieter for it to be legal so till i can figure that one out i cant put a slash cut on there......but watch this space! oh and neversaydie yes....yes it is!
  17. drewpy is winning..... any advance on a turnip a sprout and 55p????? and noise cheers for the imput, i might take it to a few dealers round my way and see how much they would pay for it. at the mo its insured for £500 plus iv got the choice to keep it if it has an accident.
  18. im not selling it. just need some sort of idea how much its worth for insurance purposes its done 14k on the clock but the engine has only done 5300 miles
  19. reserve needs vacume ......(i think) have you tried it on prime? it just lets the fuel flow. but the pump should be pumping petrol through ..... and what colour are ur plugs? half turn on the throttle is controlled mainly by the carb needle it goes something like:- 1/4 turn = pilot jet 2/4 turn = pilot jet and needle 3/4 turn = needle full turn = main jet its sounding like its the mixture ......have you got the original air filter and housing? (cant remember soz ) anyway the original setup for the carb should have the "spacer" on the carb needle in the middle.
