    Australia

Yep, I'm in Sydney. Pretty much everything here is more expensive than in the UK, it's a much smaller economy and distance for logistics makes most things more expensive :-(
  3. Wow it doesn't even have a math's co-processor... I can still remember having my good old DX33 and do you remember the short lived DX4-100!!!!
  4. Hi everyone, I've been hearing a few people have been experiencing slow page load speeds when the forums have been busy. We've just updated the YamahaClub Database Server so hopefully now this problem should be resolved at peak traffic times. I will be monitoring memory usage to see how we get on, so fingers crossed :-) Alex

    Yeah sorry guys :-(
  7. It's annoying that people target our site
  8. Hi everyone, Sorry for the slow loading times over the last hours, the site was trying to be hacked, someone was trying to insert malicious files on to the network. Nothing was affected, but we take great concern when we see anything inappropriate happening through the network and needed to ensure the site hadn't be exploited in any way. Our systems were scanning for any files possibly affected which slowed the site down considerably, no files were compromised. Moving forward we are continuing to make improvements to our systems to enhance security, and minimise any disruptions to the YamahaClub. Thanks again for your patience. Alex

    New look

Hiya all, thanks for the feedback. I will start with the flats, the flag system was a module which was installed which isn't yet compatible with the latest version of the forum software. We will be re-installing this once there is a stable release of the module. In regards to speed, the forum should actually be quicker due to server upgrades and database changes. It seems a few of you are noticing issues and I will be looking into it. Cheers ALex
  10. Strange, Paul also noticed it. I've tried with various browsers and can't replicate it :-( Let me know if it happens again. Cheers
  11. Haha, I will probably be asking you for lots of help then ;-)
  12. Thanks for the feedback @Imanupstart, I'm still trying to get used to the new layout and some new functionality.. but feel it's much better. As for the content being blocked out from the drop down navigation, what browser are you using? I'm sure we are going to have a few teething issues over the next couple of weeks whilst everything settles :-( Cheers Alex

    Forum upgrade

Hi everyone, the forums are about to be updated shortly, unfortunately there will be some downtime. AND a loss of branding until the templates are sorted out, I believe the new functionality and ease of use will be worth it. If any one has any issues please let me know. I will be updated our facebook page once all is running correctly so please go there to check for updates. Cheers Alex

  19. barkwindjammer, you have a great point. One which has been meaning to be sorted out for a while, there needs to be a page that details the sign up options and benefits. This has been delayed as a different registration process exists on the new version of the forum software which will be rolled out shortly.
