Nice...
Quick intro, ask for help. It's so important that you try to make it bold characters. Not content with that you would rather get a 1 to 1 helpline going so no one else can benefit if they are in a similar position. Just what a forum is all about.
As I said............Nice
I take the car.
If I am at work I take a bumbag that opens into a rucksack that holds my lid. I wear the rest.
Keys from your local dealer. If the locks have a number on them then they should cut them from that.
Its the opposite to be honest as far as DT175's are concerned, not sure about the 250's or 400's. Some parts are like hens teeth. The good thing about the DT175's is that there are loads of pattern parts which you can use until a NOS one comes along. Not so with the TS .
The Suzi is looking like this at the moment
I have been buying and pricing parts. Sent an email to Crooks Classic Parts on Friday with a list of swingarm bits I need. I haven't heard back yet so I will call them on Monday.
I have managed to get a few other bits. The best bits so far this weekend......... the top part of the wiring loom. NOS and £25 - bargain. The loom is in 2 parts; headlight to engine and; engine to tail light and this is the biggest part. Also a genuine Suzi gasket set for £26. Really pleased about these as I have never seen a secondhand loom in this country, let alone a NOS one.
Lets hope any head gaskets are planed maintenance. I just brought a genuine gasket set for the TS. £6 from Thailand, £30 from the UK. Not a bad price I thought as they seem very scarce . £160 for genuine engine seals and bearings (not including the gaskets).
That is something I would be interested to know as well. No so much the balancing as the tyre fitter can do that. Just the lacing. I did read an artice in CMM a while ago and understand the theory however............
Fantastic looking bike Blackhat.
Hein Gericke sale...................... what Hein Gericke sale? You order, you chase, they don't have, they hold on you your cash. They have just refunded my money after 2 weeks.
I will be interested to know how you get on.
I do have to say that the item I paid for in the Hein Gericke sale on the 11th that they couldn't supply, they have just refunded my money. This means that they have only held my cash for 2 full weeks since they new that that they were out of stock.
I found that Hein Gericke sale article in MCN very interesting BWJ. Not at least because the guy who replied worked in the Nottingham store. The guys in there were friendly mind you I was looking to buy, not return.
If Hein Gericke are franchised then their head office is doing the stores a mis-justise as they are p'ing potential customers off via their Hein Gericke sale slogans. The customer has to contact Hein Gericke when the sale goods do not turn up only to find that they were not available in the Hein Gericke sale. Then they lie about getting your cash back. 2 weeks now since I paid and I still have not got my money back.
