  1. I had to cut the bolt out of the TS frame recently. It is tough going but the best method if it is seized. Price up the parts as the replacement bearings and bolt on mine came to about £100. Frame turned upside down and strapped to a bike stand. Check what clearances you have and what sized hacksaw you can use. Buy lots of blades because they snap a lot.
  2. Missed on the forum by a lot of us, I would say. I was hoping to meet him at last years YOC but didn't get the chance.

    paint??

Hi Paul, Here come the questions: Any reason for the primer? Did you use satin or gloss? Any pictures?
  4. You are a bad man Drewps How about this one?

    paint??

A lot of the older and well established paints are hard to find now due to EEC regulations. Apparently paint can be harmful if drunk or sniffed!!! Another +1 for Hammerite
  6. I had a pair of Weise airflow last summer. My thoughts; The mesh tends to fray quite easily and sticks to anything Velcro They are wrist only gloves so they didn't quite cover the bone in my wrists Not sure how mush protection they would give your fingers in a tumble Lovely and cool to wear That said, I liked them and would buy another pair.
  7. One week on and just back from Wales. Saw this off the rocks by Ramsey Island during the week.
  8. Cheaper than another new piston and rebore. As Merv says, the old parts shop normally has some good bits. They advertise on US ebay (.com) a lot.
  9. Enjoy it Pat. I drove for 4 hours yesterday so I am relaxing at home today before I return to work tomorrow - on the bike .
  10. Hi Alan and welcome to the forum from the East Midlands.
  11. Hi and welcome to the forum.
  12. Are you sure the engine is a RSX one and has not been changed?
  13. Hi Brian. Welcome to the forum. It isn't about age, it's about keeping young. Just ride something that you can (normally) handle. Mike - My birthday too is next month. Squeezed between HRH's and St Georges day.
  14. Apparently an American built bike from one of those US chopper build off shows on the TV. A little under 200BHP and 2500cc. It eats a clutch every 7000 miles. I don't think that it would be low maintenance and that is without all that chrome to polish!!
  15. On leave today so chasing around to get things ready for tomorrow when we will be off to Wales for the week.
  16. Can't help with those but this site has some interesting stuff. LINKY The badges and emblems look good as well.
  17. 9 to 4! - You wouldn't find me working long hours like that. As for chips, Because of your chips post yesterday I shot out and got a portion to have with some home made chilli. The local chippy gives a huge portion that would feed a family of 4.
  18. Only about 6 months. It was a genuine Suzuki filter as well. I hope you had better luck Blackhat. Yep. 21 miles and it still had one litre left in it (one and a half litres on the bike and road). The oil light didn't come on either.
  19. At least you are happy with the quality when you get the exchange sorted.
  20. A bag of chips on the sea front is winning so far. I could murder a bag now. At least I got home a little early, cleaned the bike, adjusted and lubed the chain and pumped the tyres up. This stuff is the dogs
  21. Leather = tight Textile = looser Weise don't normally come up on the tight size in my experience.
