No worries and I am sure people on the forum can help. Pop over to the new members section and start a thread saying a little about you - read some of the previous posts if it helps. If you have an aftermarket filter that allows more air to flow you need to increase the jet sizes. Normally the main jet, the pilot jet and you may have to raise the needle by one click. A lean running 2 stroke will put a hole in the piston and cause all sorts of trouble and expense.

Can you stop posting the same thing all over the forum! Say a proper hello in the new members section. Use bigger jets in the carb to compensate for the extra air.

YBR 125 Wont start
Do you have an AIr Cut off valve and a Coasting Enricher? Coasting Enricher - this is on the side of the carb, it may contain a diaphragm which could have a hole in it. AIr Cut off valve - this connects to the carb manifold, the engine head and the airbox via rubber air pipes. Check for pipe damage or if they are loose. I don't think that either aare serviceable items.

DT125r possible problem?
Yes. Left seal causes the bike to run lean and possibly seize. Right normally sucks in oil, and burns the gearbox oil.

I am going to need more than this. Any pictures? There are 3 main parts, and a few others, to get the bike running electrically. Regulator This fits near the battery and is accessed by removing the left hand side panel. Armature This sits of the end of the left hand side crank Stator (and a governor) This sits over the armature and contains the points and condenser. Coil - This sits inside the spine of the main frame near the battery and is held on by 2 bolts at the top front of the battery compartment. Ignition - On the left front of the light binnacle. Harness/loom - joins them all together Battery - It needs a decent one to start it. I have ignored lights, switches etc for now. Whats missing from yours?

Just be careful that what may seem to be a bargain might have expensive hidden issues.

Got the second RD400
Err........................ I have just kept it out of the red. Does that count? It was hard though it just wanted me to open it more. It pulls very well, idles fine and changes gear great. Quite strange really, I am running in the FZ and the first phase means that you can get up to 80 MPH. The FZ seems to need another gear whereas the RD seems to be geared just right and I forgot a few times I wasn't in top gear.

Absolutely not Kev. It is against the law to ride like that It is supposed to have had a top end or engine rebuild so I need to be careful until I can confirm this (or not). I also like to be comfortable that everything is as it should be before I give it a little throttle.

You can never have enough bikes John.

Got the second RD400
Not a problem Jason. I'd never ridden one until today but a couple of miles down the road I was contemplating selling the TS. Not because I need to but I can't see it ever getting ridden now except to get it MOT'ed one a year.

Booked in the bike for an MOT for today. I haven't had a chance to go over the bike properly so the worst was that I would get a list of things I needed to do. Lots of looks on the way to the MOT centre - probably thinking; what is that stupid old bloke riding around in this weather for. The bike passed so it is now MOT'ed. I will get some tax for it on 1st Feb. It had a few advisory's: Notchy steering Fork seal misting Rear tyre starting to perish So a few jobs to do before any summer runs. It rides fantastically, pulls well and feels great to ride. I also got a chance to wear my new Bultaco open face helmet and Halcyon goggles. I can't feel my face now but curry night tonight so that will bring the blood back to my face. Well happy!!!

It needs a decent battery to run. Attach a battery to it and see if you can get a spark at the plug. They have electric start too with the button on the right hand switchgear.

Watch out for oil. The front of the right hand side contains the carb and the oil pump, the back just everything held in place.

That is starting to look like my garden Mervin. Cheers Preload. I will possibly be taking one for an MOT on Friday.
