Blimey, I didn't want to turn my rant into an appreciation society but thanks for your nice words Mike. I went to Center Parcs in Cumbria. It was very nice for an early break.

I've been away for a week and have come back to people just posting random workshop questions in the Bar and New Members Sections. Given that I keep getting ribbed for being a bit strict on just removing them, I can't be ar5ed to clean them up anymore so my new plan is just to add people who do it to my ignore list forever.

I don't have the "life behind bars" artwork. Should we start the art work again, get it agreed and the shirts ordered? I am happy to refund immediately anyone who wants to get their cash back before we decide.

T shirts now unordered........................... I had an email this morning from the T shirt place. Apparently the T shirt breaks some kind of copyright so they can't approve it. I don't know if it is the front or back picture. I am happy to either take different suggestions for T shirts, refund everyone who has paid or transfer the money to someone else who wants to pick up the mantle. I have the money, a list of who wants one, sizes and adressess to make it easier. I am away on hols next week. Suggestions please.

Hi and welcome to the forum. We have a few Derbyshire members here.

Clean the carb and reset it. Clean the plug and reset the gap. Check the timing. Leave the plug out for a few hours. Pour a spoon full of 2 stroke oil down the spark plug hole. kick over a couple of times. Pour a spoon of fuel down the spark plug hole, repalce the plug and HT lead and kick the bike over with no throttle.

I am in Loughborough but work in Nottingham. Check out www.rd-bitz.co (no .uk in the address). He should be able to offer some services that will help. As Nevs post, he is in Ilkeston and a ACRD member. I have a list of stuff I plan him to do for both my RD's.

There are a couple of RD guru's on the forum (not me alas as I am learning as I go). The good news is that most parts can be gotten hold of quite easily. There is a mass of patten parts available from the chrome, to a simple rubber for the battery box. I have just had a D loom made from scratch. Good engines seem to be the hardest parts to find. I have already pointed you over to a dedicated RD forum but please stick around as there are lots of 2 stroke and RD lovers here. Depending on the damage to your cases, you may be able to get them repaired. There are people who can do this. Not sure where you are located but YOC (this forum) have an annual meeting in September where we meet up at Squires in Yorkshire for the weekend. The ACRD club meet in Derby in July. Both are great events to go to.

The 250 engine is in this 400 at the moment. but I have a 400 lump to put in this one of my RD400's.

Tis true, it is not a for sale item though. I could put it up in the classifieds on here right now if I wanted to sell it but it is holding one of my Trusty RD's together at the moment. When I have taken it out of the frame and I am ready to sell it, it will either go on Fleabay or on the ACRD site as a for sale item. Too good to split. I really have an issue with parting out a good engine.

I'm not going to split the engine, just possibly take off the genny and covers. As previously mentioned, pop over to the AircooledRDClub. Lots of good info on there and many members sell parts. A few of us on here are on there as well. LINKY
