It could be true but "could" is a big word. A lot depends on what the damage is and where it is. It needs to be checked professionally to make sure it is safe. It could be that the forks are bent or out of alignment or the yokes are bent. It could be a lot of things so it is important that if you want to ride it, it is checked over. I guess you are not fully comp insurance.

I have just had a look there. It looks like they were joining and begging for members Here. Scary avatar though from their Admin.

The older bikes did not have 17 digits. Have a look for the first 3 digits Here. You could post the first 3 digits and you would get a reply from someone on the forum. If you have a number plate you could use a vehicle history check company like Here If you do not have the number plate you could as these people to age it Here or post a picture. Welcome By the way.

Who said that slap stick has died? Mind you what would it be worth as a claim for a broken collar bone because you were dropped from a stretcher - Especially in the US? He would have enough cash now to buy a "love you long time" Thai bride, a nice bike............err and a garage to work on it.
  16. A good price I would say. I think most parts are changeable but there are a lot more qualified people on here than me.
  17. The search function has never sucked me!

  20. Is the part Here? I would always jump start a bike in second gear. Find neutral and then click the gear lever up once.

I would not wear anything else on a bike. If you can get a good slide going when you come off you can get all of the polyester to stick to your roadrash skin.
