  2. I would second that. Anyone seen my Suzi TS90? Never call a bike a girls name............You will fall in love with it and then it will let you down .

I am not much of a royalist but I had to laugh. Some classic comments there.

Why do women get married in white. So they match all the other kitchen appliances. ********************************************************* I was on top of this fat woman having s3x. I said to her "Do you mind if I turn the light off?" She replied "Why, are you shy?" "No" I said "It's just the ceiling light is burning my Ar5e!!!!"
  5. I am not sure about you but my days of buying cheap and selling high have gone. I did get a great deal on my SV but I think that really want a XT500 so at least tonight I have narrowed the search down (albeit over beer ).
  6. Hi (again) Blackhat. I do remember that when I was on the forum a long while ago the 250's and 400's were going for BIG bucks. There is a 250 on evilbay at the moment @ £500 I am looking at. Lets see what happens
  7. Top of the morning Pat. Half the fun IS looking and then finding out that what you are after is going for top dollar and they are all 300 miles away. The longer I am forced to look, the more I can afford to spend. That is the only way to keep me going. At the moment my thoughts are still looking to end up with one of these but doing the work myself. A TDR250 is the only other alternative at the moment. Maybe a single seat TDM. Not sure yet
  8. I am interested. Anyone else fancy meeting up with me there or riding up together?
  9. Just looking at evilbay to see what's about generally. apart from a couple of FZR's and TY175's there doesn't seem too much. The linky needs me to register but I will have a look at the site soon and see what is about. Cheers.
  10. Thanks for the offer but it doesn't tick any box apart from the price. Cheers.
  11. An old mate of mine thought that "ratting" a bike was just throwing a tin of dark green or grey paint over it. And that included the tyres. Not a bad idea though.
  12. I see the abuse has started already I keep the high heels for "special" dates only. Hi Cynic, I see you still have yours. I did think of a TDR but they are like hens teeth. I think I could just get away with the seat height. Just browsing evilbay at the moment.
  13. As a little background, I used to be a regular on the forum and had a DT175mx. Ended up buying other bits and ended up with 2 DT175mx's both in bits. What I missed was riding a bit and the time to work on the bits so I sold the bits and brought a bike to ride around on. I missed some of the forum banter and am now looking to start a new project. Ideally I want a trails type bike that will suffer the occasional long ride and a few short rides. '70's or '80's and I would guess that a XT500 fits the bill (except maybe the cost). I am looking to spend about £500 on a rolling chassis or £1000 on something better and don't want the total spend, over about 12 months, to cost more than about £2500. Any thoughts or can anyone convert me to something other than a trials? Road legal
  14. I have been pretty busy with work, how about yourself? I will start a new thread asking for advice on a new project..
  15. Not forgotten you Drewps nor Mervyn if he is still around? Maybe I should have cut and pasted the "who is online" sigs. ha ha
  16. Unfortunately I did. I ended up with 2 DT's in bits but, typical me, did things bum about face. I ended up selling on nearly all the parts but sold the matching engines and frames as one lot so the history was not lost. I ended up buying a bike to ride, and then another bike to ride but now am looking to go back to actually completing a project. Hopefully a 2 stroker..
  17. Hi all, For those that don't remember me ................ Hello For those that do remember me.................... Hello again................and I am sorry I did not realise that..........(fill in the blanks here) Just thought I would pop in and try and get some regular time here again. No Yami's at present but I am looking for a project. I do have a Suzi as a daily ride. A really big hello to BWJ/Cynic/Little Dave and not forgetting Oldgitonabike. Cheers.
  18. I would agree with some of the earlier answers. I would check that the carb sliders are not sticking in the open position. even if the throttle cable seems OK the slider may still be stuck fully open (maybe a bent jet needle). I would also use a little fuel in the plug holes as carb cleaner may be too harsh to "coax" the engine into life.

Hey Little Dave. I lost a pair like that from my washing line the other night!! By the way.......... Soiled ones cost more!

Driver and Vehicle Licencing Authority They are Government employees who are supposed to look after the information on vehicles and driving licence holders. Recently they seem to have "lost" some information, although they deny it. Have a look Here I am not sure if this bears any relevance to Goffs original post. Sorry Goff!!

I have tried both the neoprene ones and silk balaclavas. I dont use either now although I prefered the silk. Just make sure it is washable as they get snottier than a group of 10 year olds

I hope you got things sorted Goff. As always, be careful of rumour, hearsay, speculation and layman's law. Statute is all that counts. Have you checked the road traffic act or driver and vehicle regulations? If the question is about a vehicle or your licence history - or you need to check and have a record of your licence before you send it off to the DVLA - Then you may need this info Here . If they need a reason, as they suggest, tell them that it is the law that they supply the information. I am going to send off for my licence info and though I begrudge the fiver, I think it is money well spent.

Oh dear! Next week I am having to go to do a proper job for the next few Months. I have spent the last 8ish years working for myself on various contracts but the latest one means that I will be employed until 2011. No more working from home for a while, I will have to get up and dressed in the dark, a morning commute to Nottingham, having to put on a suit, shirt and tie. Oh dear!

If you have got/can get a receipt dated with the sellers name, address and frame & engine numbers on it I would send off the V62. If it comes back stolen then you brought in good faith. If it is OK, vehicle check it. If that is OK price up what you need over time. If the cost of the bits are too expensive or the bike is Cat B sell the bits. If the bike is Cat C or D decide if you want to repair or sell the bits. I would only sell any parts if the bike is not stolen. All is not lost. It may be OK or someone may post here with a way of checking the reg from the vin. Good luck!!
