Yep. Shame really, it is a nice bike. I have been lucky to have ridden one on many occasions and quite enjoyed it. A mate and I used to swap so he would ride my GSXR and I would ride the RD. I seem to remember he took it to Le Mans one year when we went. There do seem to be a lot of people who say hello and then are never heard from again! Either that or they say hello, ask a question, and are never heard from again.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
  6. No problems. I use Bablefish HERE when I buy from countries where they don't speak English. I have brought quite a few bits from Germany and never had a bad part. There is no import tax as it is EU (spit). All I am careful of is that they take Paypal. Quite a few Germans don't and they use bank transfer a lot but my bank charges £20 to international transfer cash and you have to go into the branch. (Good old Natwest - The bank that wants to make banking easy.) That aside It doesn't worry me. It is just a little payback for bombing my chipshop.
  7. Thanks for the update. I will probably still have a go as I have a couple of parts that have rattle can finishes and no lacquer by the looks of things.

And life size too If you zoom out of the map a little, just below and to the left of the video (SW) you can see where the A60 and A52 meet at a roundabout. That is my commute to work. Up the A60 and then left around the A52.
  9. Would this work?

You aren't that far North of me and it was fab today. Are you sure the tortoise hasn't done a runner ( ) and hasn't substituted a meat pie in its place? Ah yeh, but there is something very nice about riding at that time of the morning. I don't know if it is the smell (If you know what I mean?) of that time of the morning or how very dark it gets just before dawn. It always reminds me of riding down to the ferry to get a boat to France .

Is fuel getting into the cylinders? So the plugs will be wet with petrol and smell like petrol? Get some quickstart, take out the air filter, turn the engine over and spray the quickstart into the airbox.

If there are no sparks at any of the plugs I doubt that new plugs will help. As previously said, make sure the run button is on. I would then try and eliminate one of the 2 main components to make it run (Petrol and spark) so providing it turns over I would either get some quick start and , removing the air filter, spray some into the airbox towards to engine and try and start the bike, or, take the plugs out and pour a little fuel down the bore replace the plugs and see if it starts. If you get a combustion noise it will probably be some kind of fuel problem. If you don't get a combustion noise then I would check for a spark on each cylinder. If there Is no spark I would seek further help. Good luck.

Well, in my part of the world the weather has held. A little frost on the bike cover this morning but warm enough for the leather and just a work shirt underneath. The sun was low in a couple of places but it was visible all the way to work. The roads were dry with only one nice long roundabout diesel slick (I am surprised they can afford it). No real cross winds to batter me and the bike clean and oiled after the weekend check over. Same for tomorrow the forecast says but Wednesday looks dodgy!
  17. Hi and welcome Phil. Has your exhaust fallen off!
  18. Once biking is in your blood, you can't escape it. You may as well stop fighting it and just get back on 2 wheels. Welcome.

Good stuff. Just over a year ago I was on holiday at Loch Less and went up to Inverness a few times. Beautiful part of the World. I have seen some more bikes out this week. The last few Months there have been times I have not seen more than 3 bikes out, including my own. It has been cold though! Looking forward to a great ride to work tomorrow. Yeeeee Haaaaaaa.

There was a sight of an orange ball over the UK today. So here is a poll. The question is; Has Spring sprung in the UK?

If it needs gravity as well as the pump, have you considered using an enduro type fork mounted plastic tank for the 2 stroke?
  25. DirtyDT replied to bookem's post in a topic in Dual Sport, Offroad Bikes
I can't answer the question but I do not think I have ever seen a custom 2 stroke trike. Good luck with it!
