I think you made the right choice NEV. Mine is on my drive and I have a ground anchor and heavy chain I use every night but I just specify the Oxford Nemisis as I carry this around with me and use it in addition to the other security. Last year I mistakenly said the bike was secured by the chain so if the bike had been stolen at work I would have been buggered.

Glad I am not on my own re the charities. I have done work for a few and they squander money like they were in the banking profession . Sick of the Chuggers (Charrity Muggers). These are the people who stop you in the street when you are trying to get home from work and try and sign you up for £20 a month. In Victoria, London you can get accosted 4 time in 300 yards, I kid you not. As for the West African ones, if the money raised over the last 30 years has not got them a clean supply of water yet, what happened to the money?

If you consider that MP's and Lords lie, cheat and steal and then get shirty when questioned to the point of claiming "commons privilege". Top cops do the same and end up in prison. Top bankers want £7.7 million bonuses when they have lost billions of pounds in one year. Clerics spouting anti UK rhetoric and advocating terrorism or fiddling with children. Top earning footballers wanting to use the judicial system to claim that their kids will be bullied if it was exposed that they were paying for sex and stopping the freedom of the press. Asylum seekers and illegals saying that it would be against their human rights to go force them to leave the Country and they are allowed to commit crime. People in prison get sky TV and gym membership for free. Once in power politicians back out of their manifestos. Why wonder why everyday people think they can do the same. The country (UK) has gone to pot and I am looking to move somewhere else when I retire. Until then I am just being screwed by taxation. I don't mind taxation but not if I am paying for incompetence, theft and the benefits of people who shouldn't even be in the country. It may be radical but maybe we need another world war.

I've done it.

I had an email yesterday from the guy I brought my spare engine from who said he would contact me about other bits he had. He sent me some pictures and a few bits were too far gone to consider. I have however said that I would have the following from him (all in need of some work); Headlight brackets (That makes 2 sets) Exhaust rear heatshield (that makes 3 I have) Chain guide (another triple) Cylinder head (That makes 4 including a NOS one) Barrel with reed valve (I have 2, and although they fit, they are for the later model. This one is correct for the year) Exhaust (quite a few patches but looks solid in the pictures so hopefully better than the one I already have and I have a plan) Pair of forks (Bad chrome but the caps will come in handy and the rest for spares) So one of all the above (forks being one pair) for £80 with an estimate of £15 for the postage. Lets see if the deal goes through and what turns up.
