    parts bike

depends what is missing and condition but anything under £400 would be good in my opinion.
  2. XT 600 dating prob Have you tried flowers? Er, no it wasn't much help, was it!!
  3. Why have elephants got big ears......................................................Because Noddy wont pay the ransom! Old joke, for old folk. Sorry.
  4. Twonk. I would love to see the insurance claim form.
  5. No need for tyre warmers.
  6. Just re-reading the and thought I would take a look at the Gov. e-petitions site again. For those not in the UK, the great people of Britain can start an on line petition and if it gets enough votes the government debate it. A bit like X factor but with better singing. At the moment more people want "Keep Formula 1 Free To Air in the UK" than "Britain wants referendum to leave EU" The best reading comes from the rejected pile, again a little like the X factor worst singers. http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/16300 http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/16450 http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/16445 http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/16505 There are some strange people about!!!!

  9. Thank you guys. The links are handy and I will price up the bearings I have the sizes for, to compare. koyo fag skf then.
  10. Road salt in winter just kills any bike that is ridden in the winter. Restorations will get tired and then re-painted but rather on the road than in a paint shop for me.
  11. Had a good chat at the YOC meet with OG about engine bearings as I was looking to but original Suzi ones. He did mention a couple of company names of quality bearings but I have forgotten them (age) so if you would like to remind me please OG! Anyway, what is your opinion about pattern bearings, not cheap rubbish but better quality ones? The original bearings and seals for the TS are £206 which I don't mind providing that is the best option and I am not forever having to strip the engine and buy another gasket set, but is that the best option in your opinion? This assumes that the bearings are available and I don't get some originals and some patterns anyway. As an example; An original drive chain bearing is pennies shy of £40 The Suzi supplier also advertises a pattern bearing for £12.67 The size is 22X56X16 with a code of 63/22C3 if that is any use. This single bearing alone means that I could save £27 by going the pattern route. Cheers.
  12. Good advice. Bikes are for riding. Things scuff - boots, trousers, locks, luggage - all take their toll so when it gets tired, just re-coat it and enjoy riding it. Too many cotton wool wrappers around for my liking.
  13. Hi and welcome to the club.
  14. UK's most wanted and me......................... well half of me anyway ha ha . Good pic OG.
  15. As above unless at a meet as my head would fall off. I only see around 4 other bikers a day so that is good in this respect.
  16. Always nice to meet great, genuine, people mate. Cynic and I got rained on for about 50 miles but not too bad. Don't forget to check that bearing/big end/small end noise.

  18. All the swingarm parts arrived a while ago, so happy with that - apart from the cost I have had to chase the order from Crooks and this arrived today, took about 3 weeks and cost 30% more than quoted on their site. I could have declined the order but wanted to see what kind of service they gave. I think that Robinsons Foundry are my first choice of suppliers at the moment but there are a couple of things that appear to be stocked by CMSNL so will need to delve into them soon.
