Do we motorcyclists just expect bad service?
Too true Blackhat  I emailed Robinsons Foundry last night with a part, parts list from my extensive spreadsheet of parts I am going to change. Got home from work early and there was a price list and ETA of all the parts. Checking the parts, one was a fiver more expensive, the rest were the same price with the exception of one. They had misread one part number. I emailed them back and popped out for half an hour. When I got in there was an updated parts list from them and advice about ordering. I ordered using their online system, which is a bit strange to be honest, and entered a code to get free postage. £97 lighter now and I will see what happens next. Given that these types of parts I am going to get are about a grand, it does pay to treat any potential customer well. Off to update the projects thread now.

Do we motorcyclists just expect bad service?
Do we motorcyclists just expect bad service? After my bad experience with Hein Gericke I put this to one side and decided to get some parts for the old TS. Sent Crooks Classic Parts an email with the parts I was looking to price up using their online form. The name, part number and quantity of each part I wanted was all on there. Left my phone number and email. They have a good search facility on their site and the parts (bar one) all seemed to be in stock. I did this Friday. Left it Saturday as I presumed that they would be busy with walk in customers. Called them Monday and they took my name and said they would get back to me. Thursday now and I have not heard a thing. There was about £100 of parts for this order and having priced up the bits I would like to change I reckon about another £1000 from this type of outlet. I just wanted to know what you all thought so I started a poll.

What got you into bikes
What got me into bikes? I am not really sure. No bikers in my large family. I was 17 with a full car licence and worked with a guy who had a '74 GT250 (which I later brought). I saw a TS90 in Johns of Romford in Rush Green, Essex and wanted it. My boss at the time lent me the money - £185 I think - and that was it. Learnt as I went as I had never ridden a bike before. Many many moons later I am still in love with them. Neither of my sons are riders although my youngest passed his CBT this year.

There is no mention of triple stitching or CE armour nor thickness of the leather. I would give them a miss. The ad says 2 piece suites ha ha ha

Nice... Quick intro, ask for help. It's so important that you try to make it bold characters. Not content with that you would rather get a 1 to 1 helpline going so no one else can benefit if they are in a similar position. Just what a forum is all about. As I said............Nice

What to do with your gear?
I take the car. If I am at work I take a bumbag that opens into a rucksack that holds my lid. I wear the rest. Keys from your local dealer. If the locks have a number on them then they should cut them from that.

Its the opposite to be honest as far as DT175's are concerned, not sure about the 250's or 400's. Some parts are like hens teeth. The good thing about the DT175's is that there are loads of pattern parts which you can use until a NOS one comes along. Not so with the TS .
