  1. Fit is the number one priority followed by the safety standard (ACU Gold in the UK), then what it is manufactured from, lastly chin strap fitting for me. I like AGV because they fit my head.
  2. Head nuts 18.08 lb ft - 2.5 kg m Barrel nuts 28.93 lb ft - 4.0 kg m
  3. They are.................................er.....................................slightly different engines but the 10V engine code is an LC number.
  4. Code 42 - Speed sensor. It looks like the speedo is not getting, or has an intermittent signal from, the speed sensor. Check the wiring down to it.
  5. Seconded. Click the picture to expand it. Don't forget Blue is coded as L for some reason!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Black high gloss black tank and mudguards. Definitely no white wall tyres.
  7. I think Cynic meant that the sender unit might be faulty. I don't know much about these bikes however, based on what you have written I would say a faulty sender or temp gauge. 2 different engines with I am assuming 2 different thermostats (if they have those). Rad changed. That really leaves the hoses, temp sender unit or temp gauge. You say that the engine doesn't get that hot, and if it was, you would be able to smell it. Have you checked the hoses are not collapsing under pressure? If this isn't happening then I would guess the sender or gauge are faulty.
  8. if there are only 14 digits then this should be all you need. The standard now is 17 however, 9, 11 and 14 are not uncommon. I am guessing you got no documents with the bike, so no numberplate either. The biggest problem is if it a stolen, written off or imported frame with the import duty not paid.
  9. I just hope he didn't have a bunny!
  10. I watch TV programmes, am often fazed and own an iphone. Are you sure this is not just a link and backlink to your app?
  11. I doubt if you can buy a new one. Better off looking for a complete carb on evilbay.
  12. Have you got a log book (V5)? if so then why worry providing the V5 matches the bike frame. You can also do an MOT check by using this link LINKY
  13. Hi and welcome to the forum. Your best bet for a mudguard is evilbay I would guess.
  14. Hi and welcome to the forum. She gets the car, you get the bike - good deal.
  15. It is very likely that you have a better chance of not getting hit with a customs charge at this time of the year. I worked several years for Royal Mail International and you would be surprised at just how much stuff is posted and received at this time of the year. Obviously if customs missed any duty on my parcels I would phone them to let them know and offer payment I have just been looking at the powersportplus.com site it is cheaper to buy there, pay the postage and the duty then buying here or in Europe. I think I will put a trial order in as see what happens.
  16. Sorry to hear you got knocked off. I do like to look of the MS'. I thought the gearbox oil was 10/40 or 20/50 depending on where in the world you are. I would go with 10/40
  17. That was a good break Blackhat, not getting hit with additional charges. I think they charge 3.7% of the item cost, including the postage, then put the 20% VAT on top of all of that. Then the Post Office charge to collect the cash. What a rip off!! A bit of a shame about the new crank though. I was looking forward to playing "where's the grumble coming from" game again next year.
