Black high gloss black tank and mudguards. Definitely no white wall tyres.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
  5. I think Cynic meant that the sender unit might be faulty. I don't know much about these bikes however, based on what you have written I would say a faulty sender or temp gauge. 2 different engines with I am assuming 2 different thermostats (if they have those). Rad changed. That really leaves the hoses, temp sender unit or temp gauge. You say that the engine doesn't get that hot, and if it was, you would be able to smell it. Have you checked the hoses are not collapsing under pressure? If this isn't happening then I would guess the sender or gauge are faulty.

if there are only 14 digits then this should be all you need. The standard now is 17 however, 9, 11 and 14 are not uncommon. I am guessing you got no documents with the bike, so no numberplate either. The biggest problem is if it a stolen, written off or imported frame with the import duty not paid.

I just hope he didn't have a bunny!
  8. I watch TV programmes, am often fazed and own an iphone. Are you sure this is not just a link and backlink to your app?
  9. I doubt if you can buy a new one. Better off looking for a complete carb on evilbay.
  10. Have you got a log book (V5)? if so then why worry providing the V5 matches the bike frame. You can also do an MOT check by using this link LINKY

Hi and welcome to the forum. Your best bet for a mudguard is evilbay I would guess.

It is very likely that you have a better chance of not getting hit with a customs charge at this time of the year. I worked several years for Royal Mail International and you would be surprised at just how much stuff is posted and received at this time of the year. Obviously if customs missed any duty on my parcels I would phone them to let them know and offer payment I have just been looking at the powersportplus.com site it is cheaper to buy there, pay the postage and the duty then buying here or in Europe. I think I will put a trial order in as see what happens.

Sorry to hear you got knocked off. I do like to look of the MS'. I thought the gearbox oil was 10/40 or 20/50 depending on where in the world you are. I would go with 10/40

That was a good break Blackhat, not getting hit with additional charges. I think they charge 3.7% of the item cost, including the postage, then put the 20% VAT on top of all of that. Then the Post Office charge to collect the cash. What a rip off!! A bit of a shame about the new crank though. I was looking forward to playing "where's the grumble coming from" game again next year.

Hi Blackhat. I have to disagree, in part. Some parts are just luck to find. The shed fund has been hit, again, but the NOS swingarm arrived today. very pleased. I have also been watching a NOS exhaust for weeks now in the hope that it would come down in price and no one else would buy it. It hasn't so I swallowed hard and pushed the buy it now button. It is overseas so I will get hit with the customs duty & VAT but these are very hard to find for my year of bike. There is a used one on US evilbay. I email him and asked if he would consider shipping it to Englandville but he did not bother to even reply. Oh well, at least I can look forward to a belated Christmas pressie when the NOS one arrives. Just hope it is worth the cash as it was NOT cheap!!!!!
  18. No worries. Ridden a few Divi's, never owned one. All I can remember is that they seemed tall and thin and the fuel caps used to whistle a lot. Stick a thread in the workshop section. First page and scroll down.

7 wire CDI's Brown, Red White/Red, Black from the stator to the CDI matching coloured wires. From the CDI it was; Black/White, Black, Orange Orange to the coil Black looped back to the Black input and earth Black/White was the engine cut off so if not connected to anything the engine runs and if earthed the engine stops or won't start. It is important that the coil, CDI and stator are properly earthed. The other wires from the stator are light blue - Neutral light - earth really Green/White - which goes to the rectifier and MAY change to White only in the loom Yellow - goes to power the lights These last 3 are not required for the bike to start and are lights charging use only. No battery is required to run them.
  20. Hi and welccome to the forum. Is this any use to you? LINKY

    Cheers.
  23. Sell the bike for scrap and buy yourself a course on manners. This would be a much better way to spend your money. What people are trying to tell you is that you will get a much better response if you are polite and civil. If you are not sure what these words mean, get someone who can read to look them up for you. You are asking for help but are not prepared to say hi. As for time wasting, don't waste mine!! Bye.
