front mudguard (fender)
I thought that the top of the tyre had to be covered across the full width. Not too sure about the length. No mention of it here though LINKY

I intended to go to a psychic fayre once but when I got there a sign on the door said...... "Closed due to unforeseen circumstances"! The old ones are the best.

Hi and welcome to the forum Steve.

Fender Extender - worth it?
Depends on the bike. Never used one before the SV but needed one for it as any sort of rain cuts out the front cylinder. With a fender extenda it runs fine in the wet.

Please talk me out of it!!!!
Not sure if it will make the reserve TBH. Just looking at the moment, no rush. The other looks OK but the TY is road registered.

Please talk me out of it!!!!
I have been eyeing this up; LINKY Please talk me out of it. I don't even think it would hold enough petrol to do the odd single days commute of 42 miles.

If your bike won't run there IS a problem, you just gotta find it.
I've got £50 in my back pocket if it is up for sale. Can you drop it off as well and I can run you to the station .

Plagued by sales phone calls.
At the moment we are being plagued by sales phone calls. Most are the recorded type. I don't have a pension shortfall, I don't have a no win no fee claim and I have not had any PPI miss sold to me. Can someone please let me know why company's think that I would deal with them after having months of this type of sale technique? I am on the TPS, press 9 to remove my number and, failing that, take every opportunity to verbally abuse them. They normally put the phone down on me. I think I need a air horn! It's hard to do tele sales with blown eardrums.

Weise Psycho Jacket, any good?
Are you still looking for that "special friend" Kev? Never had the Psycho jacket but have owned lots of their jackets, trousers and gloves. All top quality, well designed and made. I have never had a problem with anything Weise. I still have a Weise textile jacket which is great. I use it as my second jacket.

Disc lock recommendation for XVS125?
They are not worth the money. It was on the bike when I brought it. A decent one costs around £350 and I wouldn't spend that on one. Good locks are much better value.

Disc lock recommendation for XVS125?
I use an Oxford Nemesis for travelling - it fits in a pocket, bag or under the pillion seat You get 5 keys BTW. At home I use the Nemesis, a Oxford Hardcore XL chain and lock connected to an Kryptonite ground anchor Oh yes, and the bike alarm.

Declared the end of winter
Rain forecast for Friday.

Forum bug: flags images missing
Only Alex can sort this, I would guess. There were issues when the forum was upgraded a while ago. Info was lost. The images would be in a separate folder and then the forum code would reference these using an image tag (img). If the image isn't where it is expected to be then you normally see a box with a red cross in it.

A change is as good as a rest Foamy. Jason - what happened to the sun? Is summer now officially over?

Introduction
Hi Jack and welcome to the forum. Write down what you want and need from a bike and then get a list of bike traits together. For example; reliability; affordability; enjoyment; style then see what bikes fit the majority of your list and go for that one.
