  1. I use powersportsplus for OEM parts. I have 3 parcels on their way at the moment and some stuff still on back order. Quick shipping for me in the UK too.

I was thinking the same over the weekend. His diplomatic charm has been missed. Also just in case BWJ is lurking - It would be great to get him back. Jim!

A bit of age, for me, is the best way to go. The TDR needs looking after if only for the fact that it is one of the very few models that will always have a following. I am happy to admire the "out of the crate look" but it IS about enjoying the bike by getting it on the road and putting miles on it. "Scrap bike" how very dare you!!! The TS is never going to be perfect, it was about saving it. It is a very stupid idea to get a bike in such bad condition and throw thousands of pounds at it. knowing that it will never look like a £3k bike. To be honest, that doesn't worry me and I will probably do the same again when the TS is finished. Anyone got a Yam 2 stroke project that is too much for them? I might be interested.
  4. Make sure the one you buy has the pistons in. I always pump out the pistons to change the seals and clean if I am having similar problem. If there are 2 pistons, the easiest way to do it is pump the lever and one piston normally moves more than the other. I clamp that one and get the other close to coming out and then clamp that and pump the other. As soon as one piston is out it is a bugger to get the remaining one out if you don't do it that way.

I had a GSXR750 nicked once. When I got it back I think the thieves did the same thing on it. Everything was full of clay.

  10. There looks like there is a brand new caliper on evilbay right now for £30. LINKY
  11. You must of pushed the pistons back to get the pads to fit over the disks. Are you saying that the piston is not moving now? Has it been bled properly? The pneumatic pressure from the hydraulics should move a piston quite easily if the piston has already moved to accommodate new pads. For tyres, my rule of thumb is Spokes = Tube Cast = tubeless Not 100% accurate but very close. Some tubeless tyres can be used with a tube but normally tubeless tyres are quite rough inside and will burst a tube.

I'm glad all those Christmas crackers came in handy. Theory 1 - Rain is magnatised to tits. Theory 2 - Never trust a driver who wears a hat - especially a baseball one or a flat cap. Theory 3.Eagles may soar, but weasels do not get sucked into jet engines Theory 4: Do not wind the handle whilst your balls are in the mangle Theory 5: Man who run in front of car gets tiered but man who run behind car gets exhausted! Theory 6: It take many a nail to make a crib but only one screw to fill it. Theory 7: Man who walk 'round with hand in pocket always feels a little cocky.

They don't look too bad but take the advice from the previous 2 posts. Be careful of what you can't see. Rot around the inside of the rim holes where the spokes go through.

  20. More speed cameras. More compulsory hi vis. No bike mods. Bigger number plates. Lower speed limits for bikes. Ban 2 strokes. Increase the minimum age to 25. Reduce the maximum age to 40. That should stop ROSPA Kev from being disturbed.

  22. I doesn't tell us anything apart from the number being down and it is around 1 a day. Just to put numbers into perspective; Death rates from VTE in hospital Each year over 25,000 people in England die from venous thromboembolism (VTE) contracted in hospital. This is more than the combined total of deaths from breast cancer, AIDS and traffic accidents, and more than 25 times the number who die from MRSA. 2009 death figures for England and Wales - click to zoom. OK John . I have already picked up a classic Lewis leather jacket in great condition. I just hope the bike is ready. I have an AGV flip and have had open face helmets before so I know it hurts. Worse for me is the lorries as they seem to pump out sand from somewhere which sandblasts my face. Having already headbutted a pigeon a while ago, which left me concussed, I will always be ready to duck quicker.
