'78 Suzuki TS250C project
Just a quick update. Lots of parcels and packets are still being delivered. My better half called me at work last week after the postman had been and said it was starting to get embarrassing Had a row with the people at parcelfarce about a parcel from the States that was being held for customs charging but I had not received the card to enable me to pay them. Sorted that. A late delivery from Juan-les-Pins yesterday evening with another pukker exhaust, a chrome tail piece (both hens teeth parts) and a few other pieces. Some parts still on backorder. Still some painting to do. A reducing parts list. I have one set of forks apart but I think it is too late to get these hard chromed now. I am probably going to have to tidy up the other forks I have for the time being. Sourced a headlight - Hope it gets through an MOT - but still looking for a better one. Apparently it is the same as Yamaha Part.number 1A0-64320-61-00 as fitted to RD400's and XS 400's. Anyone have a good one? Called the wheel bloke. He said he was still waiting for the rims? Will start to push him next week. The seat is going to be a lot of work but are very difficult to find. A few more bits bolted on. That's about it. Possibly some pictures to follow if the rain stops

I'm fatter than someone from Bangladesh. Even if I lost 4 stone I would still be heavier.

Changing a clutch cable,
Hi and welcome to the forum. As the 2 posts above. Just check the routing of the old cable. Remember the rough position of the adjusters in both ends take out the old one. Feed through the new one using the same route. Adust both ends to where they were and try it. Make any finer adjustments until it feels right and you are done. It is a 5 minute job when you have done a few and know the bike but allow an hour for it. I am a few miles away in Loughborough if you really get stuck. Make peace with your Dad! Life is too short.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I worked in Preston for a while. Spent too much time in "the Railway" next to the station. They used to have a model train running around on tracks in there.

Tyre size?
I don't have a clue about motorcycle insurance in Canada and therefore I wouldn't feel qualified to comment on it. However, I have purchased motorcycle for most of the 37 years I have been riding in the UK. The following link may not be your insurer but may share the same underwriter, and therefore may be relevant. It may be of scary interest to all those who have minor changes (I wouldn't even say mods) on their bikes. LINKY If an insurer can get out of paying out, they will. I would guess that injuring someone whilst riding with no/void insurance can be quite serious, Funny enough, insurers don't like riders with a conviction for no insurance. They seem to think that you have fiddled them in the past out of some profit.

You really need to say hello in the newbie section Jay. Bad earth or bad starter is what I would look at first.
