  1. I have not had a lot of time over the last couple of weeks. Spent last weekend conifer trimming and work has been manic. State of play this morning. The wheel looks great and notice the HUGE taillight. Still lots to do: Waiting for a front wheel seal that I forgot to order so I can fit the front wheel Fitted the horn and indicator relay. The horn squeeks and the indicator relay doesn't flash. Will get the earths sorted over the weekend. Can't find the battery box rubber grommets and spacers that I have had for a while so that is a major pain for getting the electrics sorted as the battery has to sit on the cardboard box in the picture at the moment. The nearside plastic panel needs to be sorted - I may just tidy this and leave it in grey primer. There is a leak behind the 2 stroke pump but I have a new gasket for it. The rear mudguard is a bit out of alignment. I had to enlarge the rear fitting holes and it looks like I didn't do this evenly each side. From the rear the mudguard looks twisted. I will try and realign this. The seat is apart and is in poor shape. I will need to do some form of repair to the base, a bit like Sacha's problem in her thread. I can't get a decent one at the moment. I have spike strips, dacron and a new cover for it so it will be about doing the best bodge until I get time to fix it properly. Ignore the orange tank, that's the one I use while I work on the bike. That's about it.
  2. Cheap to do and the piston is out. That sound like new rings time to me.
  3. We could ride to Hull for some fish and chips on Friday depending on when people aim to arrive. 40 miles'ish each way.

Could have been fitted without the reserve filter. They are easy to lose. They just keep any crud from the bottom of your tank getting into the carb and blocking the jets. My personal preference is to always run an inline fuel line filter - even if the filter tube is present. It saves a lot of messing getting the carb off and the jets out. LINKY
  5. Call TY Trials and see what they say. Also good for advice and parts LINKY
  6. Don't follow his example. A few years ago I "lost" 18 inches doing the same thing. And remember ear defenders and protective glasses.
  7. As previously mentioned, It would help if you said hello in the newbies and filled in your profile. £156 pre stripped from pittedforks LINKY.
  8. A Y26 frame number would be a YM2 I believe.
  9. So you can see the oil. Look at the left hand picture you posted. Aren't the higher and lower oil levels the same as the 2 marks to the right of the glass?

  15. No etiquette. I keep my position and if someone wants to overtake I yield to the left to let them pass. I expect the same but some people just don't get it. On my commute there is a regular biker on a blade who, when we pull up at a set of lights, tears and wheelies away along the straight. It started to happen when I stuffed him up the inside one morning on a bend. I can't keep with him on the straight and he knows it. There are so few bikes I see on the commute I sometimes miss the London traffic light derby's.
  16. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Wheels This project has consumed too much of my time and cash. So if it is finished before Squires, so be it, if not then it may be the SV. I need to focus on the family and house.
  17. google translator "As these people from Yamaha, I am looking for some information for my DT's, I have a DT125 93 a 92 a 175 DTR200 2000 a XT225 2008 and CR 125 93 all very old as you can see. I ask, someone change the cylinder and piston of a DT125 to a DT175?? I have the intention to do so with mine. from already thank you very much and I understand. Greetings to all this is what we do" I think he wants to know if the 125 and 175 are interchangeable.
  18. Mankini's and things slapping around? This thread is just getting plain wrong. Good for my diet though as it put me off my lunch!
