It worked for me earlier. You do have a licence John, don't you? Comes up with 3 tabs showing details, category's and endorsements etc.

I came across this earlier, It may be good to check and print out a copy before you send your licence away for any reason. LINKY
  3. Oh dear! It looks like DTR's are so fast now that they are warping time. Maybe Richard Branson should be looking for one to power his space missions.

Find a rear sprocket with one less tooth. This will give you slightly slower acceleration but a better top speed. Therefore if the standard sprocket is 45 teeth, you need to find one with 44 teeth. The opposite applies to the front sprocket.

I had Cambridge cable over 20 years ago. It changed to NTL and then Virgin. I used to have Virgin here and was super fast when it worked. It started to play up so we moved to BT Vision thingie. Not as many TV channels and not as fast broadband but it has been rock solid and I can get to use the BT on the move fon thing.
  6. Thicker oil makes the front stiffer and fork oil should be changed every once in a while. Remember that fork springs start to sag too and a common way of dealing with that, and stiffen them, is to pack the tops with large washers - or sometimes 2p coins. To measure the air gap - empty the fork. Fill with the correct amount of oil. Get a stick and slide this in the fork, mark where the stick where it touches the top of the fork. Pull the stick out and measure the stick from the top mark to where the oil is on the stick. That is your air gap for future reference.
  7. Hi and welcome. Classics are cool - 2 strokes are best.

If I was her and they were claiming that my lights were off I would be talking to the police about perverting the course of justice. That is jail time as several ex MP's have found out.

I had an old classic Citroen ami once (I loved that car). It was so slow in accelerating that instead of the speedo reading MPH it had days of the week.
  11. Push pulls normal have a split cable for pull (carb and oil pump) and a single for push.

Hi and welcome. 2 nice bikes mentioned there!
  18. It's easy to be put off by what you think the weather is going to do. I got rained on coming home from work yesterday but it was still a great day to ride. I am still upset that the bike looked less grubby when I got home due to the rain cleaning it though!

If it is a ty there is a strong likelihood that it has never been road registered. Especially as it is a 50cc.
  23. DirtyDT replied to GT80GUY's post in a topic in Dual Sport, Offroad Bikes
Because they are have to compete with market forces. As an 80cc they can't be ridden regularly to commute and the like. I am not sure how rare they are but what do you do with the bike once restored? An old 250cc up can still hold its own in today's traffic, an 80 can't. Think about what you would like to believe your bike is worth and then see what you can buy for that kind of money.

Paul - who did the ACRD post in TTB's link on the other site is a member here too. A good bloke to boot. I have one of his old RD's - well bits of it anyway!
