Hi and welcome to the forum. -
That is not quite what I meant Neo. I understand the "tariff" system but am not sure of any reconciliation back to individual insurance claims. My, limited, understanding is that the PCT's/Commissioning body pays based on the patient record coding. We get patients for local private plastic surgeons where something has gone wrong mid surgery and they are quickly sent to "us". I don't think that we send them a bill. The only chargeback I know is if a patient is not entitled to NHS treatment (ie a visitor to the country) and then we struggle to get any cash back for them. Airhead - yep mate.

Sounds like something is pinching when the cases go on. There is a directional starter clutch behind the rotor. With the kickstart gears and cases off but the starter in and the plug out then the starter should turn the engine. This assumes the push in gear test was successful as it seems in a previous post. If it doesn't then where the starter gear locates will be the part jamming. When you locate the starter can you see which cog it locates onto? I guess pictures would help and also what you have removed to change the clutch to make sure that all of the cogs have been put back the right way around and are locating properly.

I have had both KLE's and SLR's. Great bikes for this work and my old KLE had been around Europe a few times. TDM850, Tenere, Transalp?

Whist you are waiting for it get some plusgas and spray the parts you know you are going to have to unbolt. It will give it time to help free these. Another tip is to change things like brake pins, bleed nipples and bolts to stainless ones as they won't corrode and seize. This makes any further work on these parts a lot easier.

Hi Andy. Welcome to the forum. -
The kick starter return spring needs to be under a little tension and there is a locating hole that one end of the spring sits in.

Not sure I understand this. If someone hits you then you might have a personal injury claim under normal insurance. If you injure yourself then you would be covered under the NHS, unless you are saying that some/all bike policies cover private self injury healthcare?

SLR650? KLE500? KLE650

Yes. A 4 stroke 250cc. Just take your time and it will make it a better adventure. I was reading a book about a guy riding all the way across south America on a Honda 90 a few months back.

Hi and welcome to the forum. There is no such thing as a stupid question except "why didn't I ask first ?" My last project hadn't been on the road since 1995. Get some pics up and start a thread in the workshop or project sections.
