Keep a note of the days, times and numbers of the police each time you are stopped. Take pictures of them (this is not illegal). When you get enough evidence, make a complaint.

Would you get the same effect with frozen petits pois?
  3. Hi and welcome to the forum Alex. Well done on the CBT pass.
  4. It smells fab. I need to get a coat on the bike before they start salting the roads. Not all bad then Nev.
  5. What on earth does Haynes aftershave smell like? Dusty books?

Chicken...................................................with chips. Egg..........................................................with bacon The egg came first because throughout its evolution process it hatched the slightly different variant of the chicken which then did the same. This eventually evolved into the chicken as we know it today.
  9. Hi and welcome to the forum. If you need to get some advice please start a new post in the workshop section. As you would expect, there are a lot of DT lovers on the forum.
  10. Hi and welcome to the forum. I had a new foxeye back in 94. Airhead is even older than me.

Hidden 1 post, changed the title - DDT
  13. Hi John. I did notice Pat hasn't been on for a while. I hope all is well with him and his family. Happy to meet up during the year. I was thinking about the RBLR1000 this year but will swap that for another YOC meet during the year if we can get one organised. Personally I am not fussed where as I can always take the trusty SV and happy to ride it anywhere. I was thinking of changing it next year, maybe for a Yami this time. The trouble is I keep getting drawn to TDR's and Xt500's.

Replace the brake fluid and bleed properly. Also different brakes have different feels. A sintered rear brake pad will give you more initial "bite". Brake pads do come in different "flavours" GG, HH......
  15. It is a regular hang out for locals so there are always bikes coming and going. Different events on different days throughout the year. It is an old pub with camping at the rear. Shower and toilet block. Normal full English, burgers and basic evening meals - most are edible. On the 2 stroke weekend there is a run out on Saturday to a cafe and back. The forum "regulars" normally make their way to Squires for Friday afternoon. Friday - Pitch up and then chew the fat, generally talk rubbish and verbally abuse each other until early evening. Then it is a meal and a few beers. Saturday - Have a bit of brekkie and a brew. Continue with talking rubbish and get some fuel for the rideout. During the morning and early afternoon more non camping 2 strokes arrive and there is an area cordoned off for the bikes as the regular Squires hang out guys still turn up for a brew and burger. You just wander around the bikes bumping into other people who have just made the Saturday. At 2pm the 2 strokes ride out starts. I haven't been on the rideout yet but it is off to another biker cafe about 50 miles away, brew, and return. Park all the bikes up and then a beer and something to eat. I think there is a disco or the likes in one bar but the old folk just hang in the main area and keep away from the dad dancing. Sunday - Pack up. Breakfast. Take the final opportunity to abuse everyone face to face for a while and then ride home. Have a look at the link in my signature for videos of the last 2 years worth of bikes leaving on the run.
  16. Around 125 miles each way. Slightly more than me and a lot less than 2wheels has done riding his DT125 from Ireland. My TS last year was running like a pig and had no working lights when I left for Squires last year. It also has only just been rebuilt (excluding the engine which was an unknown) and had only covered 25 miles - to the MOT station and back - since 1995. Just see it as an adventure!

Love the nonchalant posed picture of the forks against the post. Tis going to be some mighty front braking with the double leading shoe front brake!
  19. I'm in. Anyone interested in the RBLR1000 Ironbut UK northern route this year? Starts and finishes at Squires.

LINKY PS. This is not a recommendation to buy the van!

I used have the same hair and shirt. I think I still have the shirt but lost the hair a while ago.
  23. It was parked outside of the Queens Medical Center on the busy Nottingham ring road. Buses and emergency ambulances come down the slip road shown in the foreground.

The more posts there are in this thread, the more I am starting to agree with you Steve. "Sideshow" was really bad.
  25. I saw this non marked, dangerously parked, speed camera on a very busy ring road this afternoon. Anyone in the inside lane would have to encroach into the outside lane to safely pass the van. It was on the border of a slip road which would have affected viability. Parked astride a concrete lane divider and on hash marks. There were a few police cars passing when I took the picture so they didn't seem to be worried about drivers safety. This was outside a Hospital as well.
