  1. Have you tried fitting it dial side down?

Nothing in Foamy's collection that interests you?? I'm sure you will get a deal.
  3. Personally I think you are on the edge here. You have been allowed to publicise your own even without the correct level of membership but starting to advertise others is taking it a little too far, in my opinion. The site welcomes members whether members are people with a biking interest to people who want to sell their wares. It offers free membership, which allows most aspects of the site to be accessed, to paid membership which allows access to additional areas etc. It also has a Corporate membership for companies. I have removed the links in your last post as it appears to me that, apart for advertising your own events for free, you now believe that it is acceptable to advertise companies that are supporting your own business, without supporting this site. You have only posted 3 times, each time promoting your own events.
  4. That is so funny John. I can just see you sitting in the field wondering where all the others are - and not a Fizzie in sight.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Fizzie's are a classic now. Same as Blackhat really. Get yourself off the the Northern rally.

I had to be careful not to reply too quickly in case I put my back out.

Not worth following you to the bar then Mike.

Yes Ian, I agree. Average car ownership is 18 months, not sure about bikes. There are bikes that I wish I had kept (most of them in fact). Most of us will want our first bikes back and I have had too many bikes to store all of them. I am in the same dilemma really. The 2, 2 strokes are keepers. The SV is the one I am convincing myself I want to sell. '02 plate with 20k miles on the clock, owned by me for about 2 1/2 years. It looks fine, runs and starts great and is enough to ride. That said, there is always something that starts calling to me. I have been looking (only on fleabay at the moment) at XT660's, FZ1's, FZ6's and Ducati's. Studying Land Rover Defender's at the same time. I don't need one, I don't want to do off roading, they are just calling me. I don't need any of them but...................................... An upgrade is not always the best choice. Better buying more storage and then buying another bike and storing the older one.

Mike beat me to it but a big welcome to the forum from me.

Running Bridgestone BT023 on the SV. They are pretty good. 2 spells of heavy rain and hailstones yesterday, no problems. They haven't let go yet, wet or dry.

A DTR125 is what you need then. The older DT125's are more fun, but in a different way and should be ridden like a classic - well some of the time. Seat heights are quite high so get to sit on a few before you buy, assuming you are not a giant. Something that hasn't been messed about with is best. No "go faster" stickers or plastic that looks like kevlar or rim tape, boy do I hate rim tape!!! Nothing that looks like the chain is hanging off or where indicators and the like are held on with insulation tape. Rather a tatty one with fresh oil and lubed chain than one with Monster stickers and a twin headlight conversion. A decent DEP pipe or similar is a bonus too. Taken off youtube - nothing to do with me
  13. Just got my 1965 YA-6 125cc speedo up to 120 MPH. Mind you, it was next to me on the passenger seat of my car!

My 2 tips would be: Say hello in the new members section. Tell us what you want to use it for. What mileage do you do, will it be you only form of transport and stuff like that.

If you already have a rack you can buy a box that has a matching plate. The plate fits onto the rack and you can lock and unlock the box to remove it off the bike easily. Look at Kappa monokey boxes.

"I agree" or "That sounds about right" or similar means "What a load of rubbish".
  22. Fibreglass = no. Plastic = yes, if it is E marked.

I'm not salivating yet Steve. It has the right engine and it will be interesting to see it develop.
