Bye bye Middle lane hoggers! Hello Mr and Mrs chop and change.
The A14 is a great road except for the hgv's in both lanes, even when the restrictions tell them to use the inside lane only, and the odd speed cameras.

Bye bye Middle lane hoggers! Hello Mr and Mrs chop and change.
Good change I think. The real difference is it is an instant fixed penalty and points as apposed to having to take them to court. A ker Ching for the government of course but a good one in my eyes. On my way to work where the A60 meets the A52 there are 3 lanes on a roundabout. 2 to turn left and one for straight ahead and turn right. There are increasing numbers of people using the right hand lane to turn left there. They do this because the tail back to the roundabout is shorter. Just no respect for anyone else and the rules in today's society. They l need a good slap. And then a short ban. Even if you are lost and found yourself in the right hand lane and need to turn left, what harm is there to just go completely around the roundabout?

Got 15 seconds into the first clip and then decided to cut my wrists to save me from the rest of the pain. Noise has got it right here.

Rxs stuck in 1st gear
I am with Ttaskie on this one. My questions were about checking that the gear lever wasn't flapping (dodgy splines or bolt) and that the engine hadn't seized and locked the gearbox. I would next remove the detent bolt (stopper cam) be careful not to lose any spring or plunger and then try moving the lever. Next I would have the cover off to see if anything looks jammed.

Ian's Cartoon Corner
I like this a lot. Fantastic idea. Ian. Rather than one for each Month, what about a rolling thread so just added on to this one each month? If so, I can change the post tittle to whatever you want. It could be the forums "Cartoon corner".

To nod, or not to nod
Nod, always. You can then tell bikers from summer only riders.

Rxs stuck in 1st gear
Will the lever move at all? Does the piston move?

CS5 charge light behaviour
I don't know the specific answer but this sounds like old Skool cars that used a dynamo Rather than an alternator. They would often loose charge at tickover. This should be compensated when riding however, in the cars the battery charge was always in danger of discharging if you ran too many lights - like full beam and a couple of spot lamps.

expansiion tank
No worries.

expansiion tank
BH said "Expansion pipe", this is an after market exhaust. Normally giving better performance. Not to be confused with an expansion tank, which is a water overflow container.

Hi and welcome to the forum. You may want to pop along to the new members section which can be found on the first page or via this link LINKY. People get much better answers to questions once they have said hello. Just tell us a bit about yourself. I have never owned one of these bikes but they do seem popular. Low seat, big bike looks and most spares seem to be available. Don't expect too much speed, but with a cruiser, that's not the point anyway.
