  1. Why does 2 stroke smell so darn good in the sunshine?

  2. A belated welcome Mr Diver. And Nottingham is very sunny at the moment.
  3. Brugge Knokke-Heist (what a great name) Terneuzen Oude-Tonge (you can't make this kind of stuff up) Looks like a great route. Edit - that way takes you past a place called "Numansdorp" and for those people that know me personally on here, that could be seen as a little funny.
  4. Do they still do Harwich to the Hook ferry? An overnighter I seem to remember.
  5. Kawasaki zepher Suzi Bandit
  6. Done Marseilles to Essex in a day. A hard ride though.
  7. Some mot places are good and some aren't. No different to any other service. You, the customer, decides where they spend their money and people should be more disconcerting in where they spend their money. I have used the same bike mot'er for the sv for the last few years and the bike has always passed. I don't know if it helps that I take the bike in early and they can see that they did the last mot. I took the TS to a different mot place as I needed it don't very quickly and the normal place didn't have a slot for me. The new place passed the TS and commented that they loved 2 strokes. They even gave me a large A4 wallet to keep the paperwork in so now all the ts's documents are stored safely in there. I intend to use them for the SV as well this year and get another wallet for those documents. It is not just the big things that should keep us going back when we are getting our money out but the little things as well. That is the power of the tinterweb, it gives people a voice to comment on good or bad services.
  8. Hi and welcome to the forum. IOM?
  9. The A14 is a great road except for the hgv's in both lanes, even when the restrictions tell them to use the inside lane only, and the odd speed cameras.
  10. Good change I think. The real difference is it is an instant fixed penalty and points as apposed to having to take them to court. A ker Ching for the government of course but a good one in my eyes. On my way to work where the A60 meets the A52 there are 3 lanes on a roundabout. 2 to turn left and one for straight ahead and turn right. There are increasing numbers of people using the right hand lane to turn left there. They do this because the tail back to the roundabout is shorter. Just no respect for anyone else and the rules in today's society. They l need a good slap. And then a short ban. Even if you are lost and found yourself in the right hand lane and need to turn left, what harm is there to just go completely around the roundabout?
  11. Topic locked. Wrong section, again. Sigh.
  12. Got 15 seconds into the first clip and then decided to cut my wrists to save me from the rest of the pain. Noise has got it right here.
  13. Done and pinned as a sticky.
  14. I am with Ttaskie on this one. My questions were about checking that the gear lever wasn't flapping (dodgy splines or bolt) and that the engine hadn't seized and locked the gearbox. I would next remove the detent bolt (stopper cam) be careful not to lose any spring or plunger and then try moving the lever. Next I would have the cover off to see if anything looks jammed.
  15. I like this a lot. Fantastic idea. Ian. Rather than one for each Month, what about a rolling thread so just added on to this one each month? If so, I can change the post tittle to whatever you want. It could be the forums "Cartoon corner".
  16. ........................and if they blow you a kiss?
  17. Assuming your normal position Kev :-)
  18. Nod, always. You can then tell bikers from summer only riders.
  19. Will the lever move at all? Does the piston move?
  20. I don't know the specific answer but this sounds like old Skool cars that used a dynamo Rather than an alternator. They would often loose charge at tickover. This should be compensated when riding however, in the cars the battery charge was always in danger of discharging if you ran too many lights - like full beam and a couple of spot lamps.
  21. BH said "Expansion pipe", this is an after market exhaust. Normally giving better performance. Not to be confused with an expansion tank, which is a water overflow container.
  22. Should this be in the bar Steve?
