  1. What I like about going to work on the bike is that due to my brilliant working hours I finish at 12:00 on a Friday, so as there is no hurry to get home every other week so I tend to go for a ride out into the wonderful Wiltshire countryside. Here are some wonderful snapshots. my MOT station, I even have to help the tester with the MOT on the way to the MOT in a village on the way Although I live in a market town and work in another town between us there is so much countryside it's unbelievable, just two minutes you can be in the serenity of the countryside.
  2. First of all my bike gets me from A to B Then I have to get from B to A which can be a bit of a pain depending on where the traffic is coming from, it's it's coming from north to south it's no problem, but. if it's coming from south to north then it's a big problem, and I mean a BIG PROBLEM. Where I work the management are very good, they let us go fifteen minutes before the rest of the industrial estate finishes at 17:00
  3. James, what can I say, but you must have one of the best jobs in the world. I can only better that by when we were going up Gare Loch to Fazzers after a three day trip from Gosport and when we got there we went to the dining room to get our din-dins, on a table in the dining room there was a whole fresh salmon for us to help ourselves to. Also my one and only claim to fame is that in the NAFFI bar the barmaid that served me was a friend of Lulu's sister, how cool is that?
  4. Blimey Drewps, that's exactly like the scan we had from our first child, and he turned out to be a bright spark.
  5. Have you got a Haynes Manual? It's worth it's weight in gold if you are doing this sort of thing, it will give you step by step instructions (usually with photos) I thoroughly recommend it.
  6. That is my weakness. To put it crudely as Foamy says "It's tit Monday" When I see a bird coming towards me wearing a tee shirt without a brassiere it's like two ferrets having a fight in a sack.
  7. :icon_biggrin: Took a couple of minutes though Merv
  8. Up to now I've only been offered 12 months, this is the first time in 25 years I've been given the option of 6 months but as I ride all year it doesn't matter, maybe it is became its getting dearer.
  9. Cheers all, I really do appreciate the input. Will look into depth Cynic's link.
  10. Effing Ell Paul, You must be sad, unless Amanda Holden is on it.
  11. Actually, I haven't got a clue, only Paul can answer this one. Is it Britain's Got Talent?
  12. Most likely, Steve, but the last time I most likely said "goodnight"
  13. About a year ago my fuel tank sprung some leaks. since then I bought a new tank off e,bay for a fraction of the price, but I have repaired the original tank externally. What i am trying to do now is internally seal the original tank. I seem to have two options, either POR 15. or Kreem. This is where I need advice, which one? When I do get the right one, how do I apply it, just pour it in and swirl it about?
  14. So might we see him on road wars then?
  15. I totally agree with you Taff, There MUST be more important things for the police to do then this! So why aren't the police doing "more important things than this" It's because of TWATS like that. Your defending him because he's a biker, I'm condemning him because he broke the law, full stop. What about. It was the second time he had duped the authorities over a motoring offence, said Nathan Moxon, prosecuting. Also A few months earlier, he had forged a recovery invoice and claimed his car had broken down when he parked in a disabled parking space so he could buy a sandwich. And also He was caught for speeding when he bragged online about what he had done and sought advice on how he could get out of the speeding ticket. He wasn't jailed because as you said. "and i think he only got jail because he lied to them." A motorcyclist has been jailed for eight months for his "calculated, deliberate and thoroughly dishonest" bid to avoid a speeding ban for doing 122 mph. As far as I'm concerned he is a disgrace to the biker fraternity. No doubt I will get a bit of stick over this, and welshwan, lets not fall out over this, obviously you have got your point of view and I definatly have got mine, bearing in mind we are at least two generations apart.
  16. Goodnight everybody. :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
  17. Hi Anna, first of all welcome to the forum, secondly, everybody seems to think that you are a Scot. But I don't, so where do you originate from?
  18. I've never oiled a cable in my life, maybe that's because I've always fitted genuine parts.

    DONE IT

    Well done taffy, Brill :D
  20. You're most likely scratching your head and wondering why DDT suggested taking the fuel cap off to see if it would start. It's to see if the vent in the cap is blocked because if fuel is going out and no air is coming in it will create a vacuum in the tank, hence no fuel supply, comprendi?
  21. Or even "ink" but he never got called that for some reason.
