  1. Hi Mike, looks like Drewpy's given you the "no bell" prize
  2. Presumably you mean the M4, so from what junction to what junction do you mean? If I'd have known I would have met you at J17 with a cup of coffee Unless you were going on the eastbound side. Only joking.
  3. Fantastic pics Chappers, although not my type of bike. Beautiful bike and well done for showing yourself without a helmet in the first photo. One thing we have in common is I wear the same fingerless gloves when I'm on my forklift truck at work
  4. Welcome Ray, Also ex military, Royal Navy. As my avitar shows served in boats. Also Noise, a pongo just like Oldtimer
  5. Hi Si, Welcome to the forum. First of all, and you won't like this, if you are hypersensitive about sliding and falling off. should you be on two wheels? This isn't the best time of the year to start riding on two wheels. You are going to get rain, wet leaves, mud, frost, black ice, even snow etc. The best advice I can give you is take your bike out around mid-day to some quiet place in the countryside and and get used to all the nuances. OR go into a deserted car park at night and just ride around for an hour or so to see if you and your bike can become one. Hope this helps without to much gloom Mike
  6. I don't know what you 'orrible lot are like, I have a beautiful wife, she don't like bikers, ex matelots, tattoos, and my type of music, (rolling stones, kinks, thin lizzy, hermans hermits, and believe it or not the undertones. (I am all of these) YET! We we have been together for over 30 years and still love each other as if it was yesterday. Weird or what? She won't come on the back of the bike with me (very disappointing) but she encourages the the kids to. Chalk & Cheese ???
  7. Welcome to the forum Lee? Leemyers? I hope you get the help you want, unfortunately I'm not to up on peds. I presume peds are scooters?
  8. I bet I could if I had a few. mind you it would take longer because I would have to come back about three times for a piss.
  9. One thing to be aware of on the roads, apart from the obvious at this time of the year. i.e. wet leaves, mud, black ice. frost and snow. Is after a long hot dry spell in the summer when it rains the roads are very slippery due to all the tyre dust deposited on the tarmac. I bet a lot of people didn't know that Okay Paul & Paul I know you know
  10. Welcome to the forum Chappers Fantastic intro and well done for passing all your tests in so short a time. Just be careful at this time of year as the roads are wet and slippery first thing in the mornings. Take care Mike

What a load of shite this thread is!
  13. Are these the same blue lights the boy racers have in their windscreen washers and lorry drivers have in their cabs? If so, they are a pain in the arse, I pulled over once at 05.00 in the morning because I thought it was an emergency vehicle coming up behind me only to be overtaken by some twat in a girly car with a baseball cap on.
  14. Welcome to the forum Graham Brilliant intro, fantastic photos. Fantastic bike. "Hello Paul"

A little bit off target, but I gave my son an empty shoe box for christmas and told him it was an action man deserter!
  16. I've always said they should never have got rid of horses, once they go wrong all you've got to do is shoot it and get another one. Only joking to all you horse lovers.
  17. I'm one of these that won't chuck anything out. My motto is, "that will come in handy even if I never use it" This is my shed before the clutter, you should see it now. I can't even find my armchair now.
  18. Welcome to the forum Zam. I stopped off at KL on the way to Frazers Hill when I was stationed at Sembawang in Singapore in 1966. You might not recognise me now 'cause I'm a bit older.
