Hello Nidadem, welcome to the forum. Hope you pass your test so you can get out on the divvy. Great first time big bike. Let us know how you get on. Mike

Neil's very clever, he's even ambidextrous.

Brill vid, can I presume it was shot in the States? -
Youv'e totally lost me there Drewps. Top right corner? Create an album, how? Upload? Bear in mind I'm nearly a pensioner, BUT I'm not as daft as I look. I'm not a complete idiot, there's bits of me missing.

I think it could possibly be the starter motor BRUSHES as Pat suggested. Not cheap, a genuine set fro Yamaha will be about £50

Watch it Kev, I've been in continous work since 1964.

Hi chairmouse, I used to ride around on my old 125 for years on the "grandfathers licence" until they decided to abolish it by making it compulsary to take a test. So after taking it and passed I haven't looked back. I quite often think if I was still limited to a 125 I wouldn't be able to go where I do now on my trusted divvy. All the best for when you take your test. Mike

Hard luck Jen, the main thing is your lad wasn't to badly hurt. Does this mean he's given up biking? Couldn't he have the bike as a project and do it up himself? When you say it's going to cost £1500 to get the bike rideable what does that entail? Mike

LOL, pull the udder one.

Anyway Kev, don't be to hard on me, I've nearly worked hard today. Not only have I fixed a dripping tap (cold tap), Located the isolation point for the hot water tap. But, I've also cleaned the daughters rabbit hutch out. ALSO I've had 8 x 440ml of Carling lager.

Long story, but here we go. A few years ago approx 5 the original tank sprung a leak in about twenty places, to get back home approx six miles I put some blue tack in the original one hole. When I took the tank off then I discovered about twenty holes. I then looked on E.Bay and found a tank for £60 as apposed to £500 for a new one. Since then I have being doing the old tank up, but have not quite got round to doing it yet. [

A few photos of the bike on the way to it's mot in the Wiltshire countryside. When I started out it was dry, but when I got there I was soaked to the skin. I take my hat off to the MOT ers, they were brilliant.
