Them Pesky Flies
What's the first thing that goes through a bugs mind when he hits your visor? His arse.

Silly question but I have to ask
I've allways said to my pillions, don't get on or off the bike til I say. Otherwise they will unbalance the bike. Also pull away slowly and try not to brake suddenly (except in an emergency)

Cheers Paul. you have put my mind at rest.

Spot the difference...
I know that you are a sensible woman Bips, and I, like so many other members on here we wish you all the best. But just be careful when you go on a bigger bike, as I said just be careful.

good day to you
Well done b2b, It's just that now you are in the biking fraternity we like to look after young bloods like yourself. If we think you need help/advice we will give it. Don't think us old fogies as "yeah, whatever" we are here to help, okey dokey.

You could if you wanted to Mr N but you might have to wait a while.

New Biker.
Does that mean you didn't have a back out up plan?

good day to you
Hi Mate, welcome to the forum. Lets not get ahead of ourselves, if your only 16 you will be restricted to a 50cc anyway. When you're 17 then you can ride a 125cc, but you will have to undergo a certain amount of tests to make sure you are not a danger on the public highway. Apart from that, welcome to the Forum.

This is my philosophy, my current bike I've had for about six years. My average ownership for cars and bikes is, believe it or not, SEVEN YEARS

what interests you about biking?
I started about 25 years ago when my sister-in-law had an old puch moped, she said if you come and pick it up you can have it. That was it, after that I was hooked. For about about 7-8 years I was quite happy riding small bikes on the old "grandfathers licence" but around 1995 that all stopped so I had to take a bike test. I done me a favour really because then I progressed up to my current bike which i've had for about six years. Incidently, I was the very last person to take a test in the old testing station at Chippenham, as I was being questioned on the highway code the removal men were gutting the place.

will dtr 125 be able to pull a 19 tooth sprocket?
I think most of us has experimented with different size combination of front/rear sprockets, what you gain in some ways you tend to lose in other ways so I went back to the happy medium. If I remember right from about twenty years ago if you want a faster start at lights you lose top speed, if you want a faster top speed you are slower off the mark at lights etc. And also as said you have to change down more when going up hills. I should leave that to the experts on race tracks.

petrol leak
Just an afterthought, I wonder if you could disconnect the overflow pipe and somehow fit a blank to the stub coming out of the tank. I can only presume the idea of the overflow is when you fill up to the top in very hot weather petrol does expand, hence the overflow, so when you fill up don't fill right up. Hope this helps.

petrol leak
I'm just wondering if the hose from the filler neck in the tank that goes inside the tank and then joins to the bottom external overflow connection is either split or perished allowing a constant drip of fuel out. not a very good picture but there is a hose that goes from the overflow outlet inside the tank to a connection in the filler neck. Although is from my Divvy I would think the setup is the same principle.

new members asking questions without an introduction
I'm glad this subject has reared it's ugly head, because one of my pet hates is "ONE HIT WONDERS" I know a lot of members including MODS don't agree with me, but I do think this should be sorted out once and for all. It's so blatantly obviouse that when somebody comes into the intro section, asks a question, gets a comment from a regular they never come back again. What annoys me most of all is that when one does come in and ask a question, somebody answers but you never hear from them again even a thanks. Maybe I'm being an old git and might be mistaking what this forum is about, if so somebody please advise me,
