  1. Twats, I am very pro police but in this instance they could have been more helpful.
  2. Introduce Blackie, introduce. you've not got your independence yet, so stick to the Queens own proper language. :icon_biggrin:
  3. It just wont work, what those kids see on that screen today will be forgotten tomorrow. I, like a lot of other bikers watch programmes such as "Road Wars" "Traffic Cops" Etc, Even when you see a scene involving a seriously injured biker I think, Effing Ell, but the next day it's forgotten.
  4. This is what this forum is about. Bikers helping bikers.
  5. Cheers Slice. We're going to have to meet up sometime. Although I now consider myself a Wiltshire'ite I was actually born and bred in Gloucestershire, In fact from a town not very far from you.
  6. Cheers Ttasky, that's the sort of bike I'm after. Looks very comfortable riding, a bit similar to mine but with more power which will be ideal for two up on motorway. I will think long and hard because I've got til August to decide. Thanks again everyone.
  7. Hi Gav, you started off really well in the intro section. Until you got to the bit about, I've run into trouble with it, Need I say any more?
  8. I notice the lack of support for the Beemers, Are they not a good buy?
  9. Thanks everybody especially Bippo for all your inputs, it gives me food for thought. I will look at some of the suggested, the FJ and FJR I will give serious thought. Grouchy..... No way will you see me on a Goldwing, their not bikes, they are two wheeled cars.
  10. Seriously now, I've just retired at Easter. Am currently riding a 600cc Diversion, which has been fantastic over the last eight years getting me to work and back in all weathers. But now I want to do more mileage as in Motorway and A roads up to 100 miles each way especially on a Tuesday night when the local football season starts. Most of the time it will be only me on it but I must cater for me + 1. Although I would prefer a Yam I would seriously think of another make as I will still keep the Divvy. A bit of info from Bippos Tiger would help.
  11. Minty, minty, very very minty.
  12. Brill. Well done Noise.

    A wee run out

Well Jimmy, after all that I hope you had a wee dramm.
  14. Hi Nessie, good intro, you'll have all the young lads like bees around a honeypot giving you advice. But all I can say is when your a biker you tend to be more vigilant as to what's going on around you on the road, so be aware that you're not in a metal cage so just be aware of you're vulnerability while you're on the road.
  15. Welcome Steve, Huddersfield Eh. She was only a footballers daughter but she liked her Huddersfield and Arsenal.
  16. Were you wearing your mankini at the time?
  17. I beg to differ, but it is "Sweet dreams are made of this"
  18. Hi Dan, Where about in Based in South West London.
