Twats, I am very pro police but in this instance they could have been more helpful.

Introduce Blackie, introduce. you've not got your independence yet, so stick to the Queens own proper language. :icon_biggrin:

Dont Text
It just wont work, what those kids see on that screen today will be forgotten tomorrow. I, like a lot of other bikers watch programmes such as "Road Wars" "Traffic Cops" Etc, Even when you see a scene involving a seriously injured biker I think, Effing Ell, but the next day it's forgotten.

What bike next for a retired Grumpy old git?
Cheers Slice. We're going to have to meet up sometime. Although I now consider myself a Wiltshire'ite I was actually born and bred in Gloucestershire, In fact from a town not very far from you.

What bike next for a retired Grumpy old git?
Cheers Ttasky, that's the sort of bike I'm after. Looks very comfortable riding, a bit similar to mine but with more power which will be ideal for two up on motorway. I will think long and hard because I've got til August to decide. Thanks again everyone.

What bike next for a retired Grumpy old git?
Thanks everybody especially Bippo for all your inputs, it gives me food for thought. I will look at some of the suggested, the FJ and FJR I will give serious thought. Grouchy..... No way will you see me on a Goldwing, their not bikes, they are two wheeled cars.

What bike next for a retired Grumpy old git?
Seriously now, I've just retired at Easter. Am currently riding a 600cc Diversion, which has been fantastic over the last eight years getting me to work and back in all weathers. But now I want to do more mileage as in Motorway and A roads up to 100 miles each way especially on a Tuesday night when the local football season starts. Most of the time it will be only me on it but I must cater for me + 1. Although I would prefer a Yam I would seriously think of another make as I will still keep the Divvy. A bit of info from Bippos Tiger would help.

New YBR owner
Hi Nessie, good intro, you'll have all the young lads like bees around a honeypot giving you advice. But all I can say is when your a biker you tend to be more vigilant as to what's going on around you on the road, so be aware that you're not in a metal cage so just be aware of you're vulnerability while you're on the road.
