Talking of killer weather, we have had ours in the UK summer is now officially over.

Just fitted a Lazer to my XT600, its great only problem its a bit bigger than the standard so its melting my number plate !! Need some ideas about this !!

I called the helpline, but all i got was crackling.

Thats a real shame but you should put this behind you, it has taken me ages to learn to ride on the road as the cars terrify me !! But I have kept at it and Im now really enjoying it and gaining confidence , obviously I prefer the off roading to on road as there are usually no cars around , just trees ! Dont let the buggers win , good luck !!

A strong wind behind you !! I owned one of these creatures and it kept stalling , everywhere , traffic lights, roundabouts you name it , it became a real torture just getting on it , thank god for my XT !!!

Just packing, off down to Salisbury tommorow, taking the TTR250 not too keen on taking the XT600 just yet ! Tyres need changing over anyway ,really looking forward to this a few of us are going down so a bit of a party camping in the evening, anyone going ? Been ?

I have wondered what the TTR600 is like compared to my trusty 250 ! I have bought an XT600 I wonder if it will be up to the same punishment as theTTR off road ? Its just a workhorse takes you anywhere such fun to ride would be a real struggle on a 600 ?!

Thankyou all, yes its great not too much of a beast ! Easy to ride can't fault it for a first bike, being tallish helps , did worry it would be too big but its Ok, fitted a Lazer Exhaust that has melted my number plate so need to find a metal one any ideas ???

Just fitted new Exahaust to my XT600, burning my plastic plate ! Any good recommendations for an alloy plate ?

Thanks for the welcome, like the XT so much nicer to ride than the TTR !! Well have only rode the TTR off road so I cant comment yet whats it like on gravel ! But looking forward to Spain in July where I can let loose on it !
