soak the bolts in 3in1 oil over night (just cover them with it) so it seaps in then remove them with the proper tool

haha funny you mention the breaks the are binding quite bad at the moment but the pads have tones of where on them (done 800 miles on that set) the bike has just gone over to 3332miles so not that manny but yeh the sproket is firm just the bit that holds it isent the thing is it dosent move back and forth just side to side im not bike mechanic and have only cleand carbs out so not touching it myself unles its like a push bike sproket (was/am push bike mechanic) then might have a look but to be honest it having a full inspection befor im off to france ohh and the wheal is tight on the bike
  16. hmm bit off topick but have been riding my bike a wheek and can already do a circle on a normal spaced road and i find the MT to have a crap full lock specialy compaird to my dads XT he can nearly do a U turn on a single lane and also wouldent you need risor bars so that ure hands clear the tank on the thunder cat and not straight ones
  17. barwell1992 replied to barwell1992's post in a topic in Yamaha Workshop
right well sat out side for a hour with degreaser and a wire brush(soft) and cleand the buger and its all shiny now just aplied a coating of castrol chain wax would have used proline race lube but that get evorywhere one thing is thogh the rear sproket can move side to side about 3-6mm its tigh on the hub but it seems the hub is moving on the axel is this normal it dosent do it on my dads XT but he has diforent rims with fixed sproket mounts the sound has praticly gone now but im thinking to get a new chain any way the chain does feal smooth but not sure about the longjevity of it
  18. barwell1992 replied to barwell1992's post in a topic in Yamaha Workshop

Hi was riding my bike to day then the wind died down so was realy quiet then could hear this scrape noise so got home and took my helmet off and rode it up and down the drive and the chain is making quite a loud noise like a constant scrape this could just be the chain on the plastic but dident expect it to be that loud, the chain is a bit rusty so could it do with a new one ?? i thikn the owners befor left it out in the rain a cople of times so has some orange stuf on it lol im going to france on it in a cople of weeks and need to know if it could need replacing or just need cleaning then re oilling this is on my MT-03 thanks

it wasent shokz that sead it take another look at the post
  22. well things are unclear at the moment but you can ride a 600 or 1000 straight after you pass but you have to be restrictedto 33bhp or 44bhp (wating for a reply from the DSA) then after 2 years you can be unrestricted but i was told it may be 4 years restricted then another test to get on any thing more power full
  23. barwell1992 replied to mr-c's post in a topic in Naked
thorght the hornet 600 had the 600 blade engin allready?? or is that only the 900 and i would look at a better exhaust and maybe a K&N filter and a carb rejet just to make it a wee bit faster
  24. barwell1992 replied to Yammy dodger's post in a topic in Yamaha Workshop
think he means visor on the helmet if so you can have a gradient tint of up to 50% i think any thing over that is iligal iridium visors are toatly ilegal but if you have the original visor with you and get pulled over as long as you change it the plod carnt do any thing about it if ure on about the wind screen on bike then no laws afecting this but there are for light covers if you have them on at night then you can be pulled over
  25. verry nice quite jelos
