    Bike Lift

I've had this Lift now for over 12 months, and I'm well pleased with it. No more lying down trying to look upwards, I can sit at the side or stand up straight to work on the bikes. Platform lifts to 780mm with the foot hydraulic pump, can be locked in place by using the bar which locates through the frame both sides and prevents dropping. Lowering is smooth and can be controlled by varying foot pressure on the lowering pedal, this is also adjustable by a flow control regulator on the cylinder. Comes on castors so can be moved easily, with jacking feet to raise the castors of the floor once in place. Includes a front wheel clamp, and a removable floor section at the rear for dropping out the rear wheel, and the ramp is also removable. Quality is good, welds look secure, paint finish is ok, it worked straight out of the box, and means bikes can be serviced in relative comfort. Delivery was 3 days after order placement, in a wooden crate. It is heavy though, but will lift 1000lbs Only "watch out for" is when you pull the bikes onto their centre stand, the stand can slip on the paintwork, so a piece of old carpet or similar under the stand will prevent that All in all, I've found it extremely useful, labour and time saving, and at a bargain price of £329.99 then, and would recommend one to anyone with the room for one
  2. Here's the sanctuary then.
  3. Do mine when they start to look a bit grubby, works out about 5 to 6 weeks or so. Blast em with cold water from the hose, spray on on of the muc-off type cleaners, make coffee, come back and blast it all off with the jet washer. Switch compressor on and blow off all excess water, rag dry, wax up next day Follow up with ACF 50 all over the carbs/chain/swingarms and all exposed fasteners Check lights/brakes/tyres (additional to weekly), charge batts I know, sad old twat, but to me they are an investment as well as commuting tools and fun to ride
  4. Granby Motors Yambits Full Throttle Suttons Fowlers Wemoto CMSL
  5. I had Heidenau tyres fitted to my draggie, front and rear, rode all year round, couldnt fault perfomance, and excellent mileage. Bought them from Pneus Online, delivered 2 days later, had them fitted by a local motorcycle garage £10 each after I took the wheels in
  6. North America is the best place to be for parts for the Radian, it was aimed at the American market., and received good reviews at launch time BADRAD600 is the web site to aim for, manuals/service guides etc on there/links to spares etc Tanks are rare over here, as is the front fender, but you shouldnt have any trouble over finding parts
  7. Cant remeber clearly now,as ive not had the dragstar now for a while, but is there a PRI position on the fuel cock? If there is, switch it to that and try starting/running
  8. If its a mid terrace, the I assume its staright in off the street thorough the fron tdoor? The check access from the back, it may be a common access to all of the rear of the properties Water metered? Noise transfer through the walls from the neighbours? Check pointing, modern pointing is not what it once was, too much sand/not enough cement (cost cutting)/no depth Check for if in flood zone
  9. I've got to get me one of them there vinyl convertors, got a cupboard full and nowt to play them on Anybody done theirs, what kit did you use?
  10. I think thats the time they switched to the "proper" fuel tank rather than the dummy one with the tank under the seat Noisy not surfaced yet then with his usual greeting for a Virago owner
  11. Dont let this guy put you off, he rides something that looks like its been crashed, and never checks his oil level 535s sold by the shed load, reliable, easy to ride, easy to maintain, still plenty of spares available Panniers/saddle bags/boxes should be easily availble without any drilling/welding etc, there are bolt on brackets availbale for fixing If you like the bike enough to buy it, then have it
  12. Out of control nation, spiralling downhill with the downtrodden masses coughing up more cash to bale out those who got us here in the first place £10K rise for MPs??????? Just whose plans/policies/blind negligence/apathy/bad managment got us here!!! and how many of them are still in the House. An ever revolving door, shifted from one post for failing into another only to do the same. New health minister every 2 years, first thing they do is start to change everything cos they have to be seen to be doing something If TB infected cattle can be placed into the food chain for human consumption by the Govt, then why are they slaughtering the badgers???
  13. I like it, nice colour scheme Nice buy, enjoy
  14. Just shine a torch at the window. Dont forget the bike needs to be level, get a mate/girlfriend/boyfriend/wife etc to sit on it. DONT OVERFILL, half way up the window, no more than that
  15. Gubbed = chucked away VAT = value added tax. Never existed before we joined the European Union, its the tax raised by the Union to pay for the Union across the member states. When we leave, there should be no further requirement for it in the UK Is that a cuckoo?
  16. Look after it and youll likely get a good price when you sell Good stock bikes are getting rarer and fetch better money than those that have been "bobbed" and generally hacked at
  17. Fraid ive adopted the view that they all piss in the same pot, and in future ill just play them against each other at renewal time if they wnat my money
  18. I second that Good piccy, like it
