Diversion 600 1997 Brakes
You never know what you may find if you overhaul the brakes Look what turned up in one of my front pistons An M8 hex head screw. The thread on it was only the same length as the thickness of the piston end wall, and it had been drilled and tapped into the piston Why? Chuff knows, but I'm glad I did the work

Chain wear on outside, top of links?
check along the chain path top and bottom, looking for any grooves where the chain has been rubbing

Diversion 600 1997 Brakes
Could be that the front brake pipes are swelling up as you apply the pressure. You can get braided hoses to significantly reduce that Could be moisture in the fluid allowing the fluid to compress Might benefit from full service of front brake system, seals/pistons/fluid change/pipes/master cylinder kit If youve no record of any of that work previously being done, then the above parts maybe 17 years old

The next project, cafe racer or streetfighter
I have to Drill out one of these buggers as its so rotten the Hex key cant grip the sides and just rounds the endges. Small tip, generally works though Rounded socket cap screws can be removed by using a Torx key. select the next size up over the last one to just fit into the hex, tap it all the way in to the bottom of the hex, socket and ratchet on the Torx drive end. Cuts its own path into the socket head

I recognise that reddish colour
Locking up the Virago at work Friday, slight reddish tinge on the hub. Got home lifted front wheel off the deck, sure enough, bearing on the way out. Two new bearings and a seal bought and fitted yesterday morning. Then in the afternoon, on the Radian, fitted new wheel bearings and seals front and rear, new rear brake shoes, plus re-fitted the wheels with two new Bridgestones on em, brakes/chain adjusted. Bowled along at my own pace, several brews along the way, radio on, nobody bothered me Had a good day

XJ6 break adjustment
Best advice I can give to you, given that you appear to know nothing of how the hydraulic BRAKE system works, is buy a Haynes manual for the bike and read up

caliper seals for xjs900
Not sure what you mean by "middle seals" Some calipers are made of 2 halves, bolted and dowelled together, mostly they come with advise never to seperate Unless there is evidence of leakage there, I think Id be inclined to just replace the pistons/seals/fluid, and probably the master cylinder seals too

Dragstar 650 rectifier needing replacement
Whoooaaa.. I got around the plug connectivity problem by carefully cutting away the yam plug from the spades inside of it. The spades then push into the VWP plug and lock in using the tabs Do the same at the other end Make up a lead using the other ends of the VWP plugs Hope that makes sense That means you can buy a RR from M&P for example, and make up an intermediate lead, VWP sell all the spades/cable/heat shrink etc to do it
