Funny obituary...
http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/azcentral...p;pid=126515914 Dimmick, Chuck P. born December 29, 1958 in Riverside, CA passed away suddenly on April 18, 2009 while attending a NASCAR race to watch his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. Chuck was the loving husband of Kristen and devoted father of Dillon. Chuck was the Director of Marketing for the Lund Cadillac Group. We are sure he would still want all to know that 0.9% financing is still available on all New 2008 Hummer H2's. A mass celebrating Chuck's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 24th at St. Patrick's Church - 10815 N. 84th St. Scottsdale, AZ. Arrangements handled by Hansen Desert Hill Mortuary 480-991-5800. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dillon Dimmick Donation Fund at any Bank of America.

The government
Luckily for us in the States, OUR government has been spending so much money that they don't have for the last 80 years, and sticking it's nose into everyone else's business, that it will soon come crashing down when the DOLLAR returns to it's REAL value- that is ZERO. Then the c*nts will be forced to LEAVE US ALONE. I can't wait. 'Government' is the deadliest parasite.

How can I put 6 quarts of oil into my 535 Virago???
Yes. A quart is a quarter of a US gallon, or 2 pints.

New Project - don't laugh (not too much anyway)
Nothing wrong with having a scooter. Especially for a first ride. Start off right with Dad riding alongside. What could be better ? C:-)

worst injury
My worst injury was really to my pride, not my body. I was an instructor at a beginner's rider course held at a local high school parking lot. We were teaching the course over a few Saturdays, and the students were gone for lunch. Another instructor and I decided to "race" the students' bikes (owned by me) around the parking lot. They were Kawasaki 100cc dual-sport models. We were going around, faster and faster, when I discovered that I was headed for a large curb, about 6inches high, and the top edges were not rounded off, and I was going TOO FAST to turn or stop. Oops ! I slowed as best I could, and hit the curb doing about 45 mph. I flew up in the air, came3 down on the front tire, and did 1-1/2 somersalts (always TRY to do WHOLE numbers of somersalts) and crashed to the pavement headfirst. The first thing I thought of was "where is the damn bike ?". Then, as I was sliding across the pavement, it landed on me. I got up and surveyed the damage. One of my sleeves was worn through, with resulting road rash, but otherwise I was only tender where the bike had landed. My helmet had a huge gash from the footpeg scraping it, and the bike had broken mirrors. And the tank had dents where I had squeezed it between my knees ! (I could tell from the bruises between my legs.) I took it easy the rest of the day, and maintained a strictly professional attitude from then on. ;-) P.S.- the other instructor said it was the funniest thing he ever saw.

thanks for nothing guys
Welcome, Fieryfilly ! I just wanted to say that I like your signiture, "Only a Biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window".

thanks for nothing guys
Sometime in the 80s, I believe- when the manufacturers agreed to the following color schemes (for racing) : Yamaha Blue/White Honda Red Suzuki Yellow Kawasaki Green At the time, I wondered why Yamaha didn't insist on Yellow/Black. Since we have Google, I will do some research and report back.

New Bike Test... ( Just a joke...)
Those bikes are so quiet- they sound like they could almost be electric bikes. I mean TOO quiet.

thanks for nothing guys
You're welcome. I read your post, but decided to skip the reply since I am unfamiliar with the subject, because I ride a 1982 XS400 which has nothing in common with the bike you mentioned. Unless you WANT me to waste your time: 1) I assume the bike you asked about is a 600cc model. If so, it is too big. 2) what color is the bike you are considering ? All colors besides red and black are unacceptable. Oh, maybe BLUE is ok. 3) you should add a sissy bar/luggage rack and a bubble fairing so it looks like my bike. 4) I think it is too much bike for your riding abilities. There are my recommendations. You're welcome. Have a nice day.

xs400 flat tracker project
I've always liked the looks of flat-trackers, and I own an XS400 also. I'm very interested in your project. I have other mods lined up for this year. I'm not going to copy your bike, but it gives me some ideas for next year. :-) Keep us posted.
