Well just take it easy at first, speshilly if your brakes are a bit iffy, anyhoo congratulations
  3. How much is the insurance on this ?
  4. Could (and usually is) something simple-might just be your starter button ? battery is fine fuses fine lights working , do you hear a click or faint whine when you press the start?
  5. Welcome to the Forum Shaun, I wouldn't recommend immobilisers of the electronic variety, they seem to be more hassle than their worth, spend your £200 on an expensive chain and lock to go with it (try for size-one thats wraps round the rear wheel twice is ideal-no slack makes it difficult to get bolt croppers on it) , and cos they're cheap (ish) get 2 disc locks (use both at once), put it this way-if some theiving pikey wants your bike they're gonna have it, you can only slow them/make it more hassle to get it

Way -hay , well done that man, nice 1 friedegg, and just in time for the scorching July weather (its pissing down here ) once he's got that initial £60 worth of petrol out his sysyem I'm sure he'll come back on and tell us what kind of bike he has
  7. Welcome to the Forum QC, lovely bike btw
  8. We could E-mail that 'chin-strap' guy/thing and ask it to help us out ?
  9. Yep, you could go mad
  10. Jees thats sad Pat, sorry to hear about your old pal, I was brought up by with dogs, we had 5 in the house when I still stayed with the 'owl yins', it breaks your heart when they pass on as I'm sure many forum members will know, keep yer chin up big yin !

  12. P.S. if this is on the XS then Drewpy's your man !
  13. Absolutely no idea m8, I dont have your model of bike, but it shouldn't be pissing petrol as you describe
  14. Summick not right there Johnno , it should pour out on PRIme, but not the other two positions, the prime allows petrol to flow to the carbs without the presence of vacuum, ON and REServe need vacuum, you need to take it back off the tank and check the diaphragm in the pet-cock
  15. Some of us Jocks got to go out to South Africa, Angus MacBarsteward-inventor of the 'radio controlled ball', and also Jock 'twisty' MacDulux-the line painter
  16. Cant speak for Blackhat but I made sure I was home in plenty of time to get my frankfurters on the BBQ and settle down to the fantastic spectacle of the England commentators (not the team I may add) getting a worldwide reality check, there will be much blubbing about this competition and probably anger at the players and manager, the real villains were the media IMHO
  17. Here be us, from left to right, BWJ, the widow-maker, Blackhat250, and a Scott 'squirrel' from 1914 or there abouts

Next time try to loosen up, stand very slightly on your pegs (try this on a push-bike), and allow your hips to swivel
  19. Nice 1 Pat, I had a good 'bimble' today around Perthshire and the Trossachs national park, met up with Blackhat250 and numerous other dinosaurs for a jaunt, some really old bikes, great weather, the odd 'absolute shower' but a great day oot, its gonna be a good long summer me thinks, have you thought of putting a partially inflated inner tube from a Quad on your seat ?, a company called 'airhawk' sell something similair for only £145.00
  20. Excellent value for money there Alex, £10 for a 3 year membership with all the perks, thats 0.0091324200913242009132420091324201 pence a day, in times of recession even a Jock like me isn't gonna miss that from my sporran 'cheers-easy'
  21. When you have your Moderators lunches at HQ please keep an eye on Mervin-he's a button pusher
