I think the 'thing' with Triumph is its kind of 'elitist'-its a nostalgic badge much like Norton, high purchase price, high service costs, service re-boot (gas-up), etc etc it is a stunning looking bike butt its a victim of volume sales figures, its interesting to note that these tigers hold a bloody good re-sale value-have a look on fleabay, also note the distinct lack of parts available, its a big cost bike, however I'm sure there are lots of 'back-street mechs' like Oldtimer with all the hints, help and tips you would need to keep one of these on the road for a good few seasons the older 955 models came with full bespoke luggage too !

IIRC I usually get 100 miles out of a full tank-then I switch the tap to reserve, and I should get a further 30 miles on reserve, however as soon as its on reserve I head for the nearest filling station so my figures are not accurate for a 'full tank range', did you move the pet-cock (oooer missus) to reserve when it started to splutter (ooeeer missus)?

Clean/fresh petrol is the same colour as light champagne not the colour of red bull-petrol in a tank will deteriorate after 2 weeks - "tweekths' as my m8 says but heeth got a speeth impedement Hope thith helpth

Hi Dan and welcome to the nuthouse , If I were you I'd be cautious about fitting a 55w lamp, my advice would be to join a forum like this one http://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=158330 , then do a write up about how you have 'upgraded' your crap light, give it 3 weeks, if you dont see subsequent posts that mention smoke and burnt out wiring/catastrophic fires then your probably 'good to go' ps what are you studying at collage ?

Eeeee welcome to the 'ward' Giz , good choice of bike , built for winter hacking BTW, just get a liberal coating of 'ACF 50', or 'Scott-oil FS 365' on it-the latter being my preference as its non-greasy lad-I said its non-greasy Lad , get a fender Xtenda (if it aint already got one, aye)-when the salt goes down on the roads (bwaahahahaha) just 'ose it down with cold water then add lashings more FS 365-I said just add lashing more FS 365 Lad, bye eck !
