Thundercat running temperature
Hi, mines a Thundercat that's currently in the Yamaha shop having the temp gauge (among other things) sorted. It never moved and I've never heard the fan kick in, despite a motorway thrash. The mechanic seemed to think it would be the sender unit (£20) in cylinder head need replacing. I will ask him tomorrow what temp it should be running at, hopefully it will be ready by then, I miss it yer know.

Need advice
Hi all. I’ve got something on my mind and I’m at a bit of a loss as to what to do. A few regulars on here are acquainted with me through the Forum, but you don’t have any direct, embarrassing contact with me. Most of you tend to be experienced and mature, so I thought it best to run this past you first. Ok, deep breath… For some time now I've suspected that something is going on with the Missus. A few of the usual clues – The phone rings, I answer, no-one there. Every Thursday she goes out to play Bingo with “the girls”, but I’ve found out from one of her friends, nieces boyfriend that she hasn’t been for a few weeks. I always used to keep an ear out for Sheila dropping her off, but now she always walks up to the house. She has been a member of a Gym for ages, but recently she’s been going 3 or 4 times a week. The other day I picked up her mobile, and she went absolutely mental, screaming at me that I shouldn't ever touch her phone again, it was private and why was I checking up on her! Anyway, I have never approached the subject with her. I kind of think deep down I don't really want to know the truth. But then yesterday morning she had a phone call and she said it was Wendy her boss asking her if she could go in to work, and after she went out I decided that I'd check up on her. As I set up her PC I know all her passwords, and decided to check her e-mails. It was whilst I was waiting for them to download that a mate rang offering me his 2003 FZS1000 for £2500! I am in debt already and would have to borrow half but at that price how can I refuse? What shall I do?

law
Ladies and Gentlemen, I was in my car at the front of a line of cars at the red traffic signal. It was a hot day with dried flies stuck to my screen and I thought it a good idea to clean the window while stationary because I was now facing the lowering sun and would be for the journey home. Now then it was at this point a bike filtered through to front at the side of my wipers (which once you've set em going don't stop for a couple of wipes) he got a few drops of windscreen wash on him so he spat at me, my window was down. If I followed the revenge path I could have easliy knocked him off and reversed over his legs. I thought about it but drove the other way. Boiling. I should have got his number and reported him. I have also had a fag end tossed in my direction and yes it is dangerous and filthy but you can't really take the law into your own hands, as much as we'd like too. Education is the answer! Advertise in cinemas, on radio etc the errors of discarding rubbish while on the move, especially with a bike behind!!

lights or not in the day?
Yes yes and yes again lights on every time, it's a no brainer for bikes and all other non vulnerable traffic (insert your own interpritation here! but I think we should leave horses out of it cos they should be in a field not on a road) shouldn't bother until times of reduced visability (fog, night time). As for taking your test every 5 years - bring it on! I think it would pay for itself eventually when the accident rates start dropping better this than speed camera tax. Think gov/eu dudes worried about heavyweight vehicles carreering out of control and wiping whole villages out! Statistically speaking HGV's least likely to be involved in accidents though just memorable when one goes through/over a car/house etc. MObile phones! mobile phones!! don't get me started on mobile phones!!!!!! Every pigging day I see a moron with one stuck to his/her ear eating a sandwich, smoking a fag and applying his lipstick while driving at speed changing the radio staion while looking at it and BANG <-- that was my blood pressure just going off the Richter scale

Hello Yamaha Owners Club
I am aware of her, nearly said I'd come across her but that would've lead to all sorts trouble I suspect. Just had a right laugh at this : http://www.yamahaclub.com/forums/index.php...l=chain+tension

Hello Yamaha Owners Club
No way Kev! She is awesome and not to be messed with. Once a month she could flatten entire nations using nuclear weapons without remorse!

Hello Yamaha Owners Club
Hello, my name is Richard, and I'm a YZF addict. I passed my test recently, after years of RS125 'ing. Bought a really nice, no FANTASTIC!, Thundercat from WEBBS in Lincoln and cannot keep off it. My missus says I'm barred from it until she's at work tommorow. I'm counting the minutes and sort of just keep going out to the garage to look at it. I'm addicted. But any way that's not why I started this! I just wanted to say: Hello YAMAHA fans! What a great forum! Look forward to being here when I can't be out there!

Counter steering techniqe
Hi, I've been taught the countersteering technique, on my DAS, and well what a differance! I found using the technique a revelation. The direction change is instantanious, just wish I'd have know about it when I was tooling about on me Aprilia RS125
