I've just fitted dual compound (hard in the middle soft on the edge) Bridgestone BT 021's to my Thundercat, perfect for me - Sport/Touring tyre. They do a softer stickier version BT 014's. . .

If I'm lucky I may have picked up 3 points and speeding tax this morning. If I'm unlucky and didn't squeeze the brake in time, I might be off to court. Now it's the waiting game. Shit really. Innit.
  8. Thank you for your advice The DID chain came with a rivet link so I'm gonna use it this time. anybody near Lincoln wanna lend me there tool?
  9. Hi all, having bought a chain and sprocket kit I now need to find a tool to rivet the new rivet! Now then being a bit, well ok a lot, hard up I was wondering if anyone knew of a cheap alternative to purchasing a £40 Breaker/Riveter?
  10. What, at the risk of sounding dumb, does it mean when they say 'No Colours'?

Doubt it will concern bikers. Most Bikers who get it wrong, sad to say, just wipe themselves out, whereas a wagon can easily squash a family of four, even sadder I suppose. Good message overall though - training improves skill and decreases accidents.

Not to be confused with a serious answer! Have you seen a kit to raise the bars then?

Looking at mine I'd say lifting bars would make em hit fairing. They'd have to come way back and up. Best thing is get the back wheel spinning and lean it over a bit, soon swings round.

I know what you mean mate. Yours hands ram into the tank well before the lock stops are touching. I have to do a tight turn on a gravel drive to get mine in garage. Utter nightmare, still not used to it, after four months!

Yes, your probably right. Didn't put a great deal of thought into the title. My bad, as the typical yank might say! (maybe?)

ONE VOTE for Shed Hermit, Not sure if he's qualified to run countrys but might as well have a go. With storming ideas as simple and effective as that he can't be any worse than the current crop of crap chaps in charge.

Here is a link to the sort of thing they mean = http://www.carbtune.com/ It helps you tweak the carbs to ensure each cylinder gets the same amount of fuel/air mixture. Never used one myself but I'm sure someone around here will know how to use one!. I think you attatch a little pipe to each carb from the gauge and then, I would assume, you adjust the mixture screw on each carb until the gauges read the same?
  22. Rich_B replied to kevin10529's post in a topic in The Bar
Mine is similar to yours and I'm putting it down to having a standard exhaust fitted after the carbs have been setup/re-jetted for a race can/sports exhaust, if you know what I mean. What kind of exhaust you running? What was your previous machine? ie can you tell if it's making the power it should? I couldn't when I stepped from Aprilia RS125 to my Thundercat. . . which in its self caused me some problems.
  23. I'll sign up mate. Can I have Taser? Just to help get the offender under control you understand. . . Then It's off to the wood yard! Little Dave getting proper evil there! I've worked in a timber mill and them big chippers are great for mashing humans into little bits, just what I'd love to happen to the git that nicked my crosser (Honda - but don't hold it against me Yamafans).
