  2. hi again, lock wired is when sump plugs and oil caps have been wired up so that they never come loose when racing, they have small holes drilled in the sump plug then wire is threaded through. so if you see this then it may have been raced or used as a track bike. daz

  4. hi mate, i have had many r6 bikes and know a thing or 2 about em ... just check for frame and fork damage , also make sure its not a x race bike and its not all lock wired, service history would be a bonus, some of the early r6 did have a gear box problem but it was rare. if your still unsure i can send you my number thanks daz

  7. hi, does any one know of any good insurance companys who would insure 2 bikes on one policy instead of me getting ripped off by taking 2 separate policys out, my insurance company will not cover both bikes on the same policy but they say they will in the future, (no good to me then), if any one can help i would be very greatfull thanks daz

  9. hi mate, well im not sure if im gonna sell it at the moment , i also own a kawasaki zx10r . the thing is im not sure if im gonna like the zx10r as much as the fz1. i only just bought the zx10 2 weeks ago and not rode it. also im thinking about racing next year so not sure if im gonna be on the road bikes much in 2009. thanks daz

HI FOLKS, COULD ANY ONE HELP ME WITH A PROBLEM I HAVE ON MY FZ1 N, WHEN STARTED FROM COLD IT TICKS OVER AS IT SHOULD ON CHOKE AT AROUND 2 RPM THEN AFTER A COUPLE OF MINS IT REVS TO 3500 RPM AND STAYS THERE, BEFORE I PUT IT AWAY FOR WINTER IN SEPTEMBER I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH IT AT ALL BUT I START IT UP EVERY 3 WEEKS OR SO AND THATS HOW I NOTICED THE PROBLEM, ITS FITTED WITH A DYNOJET POWER COMANNDER AND FULL AKRAPOVIC SYSTEM AND I WAS TOLD WHEN I BOUGHT IT THAT IT HAD BEEN SET UP/MAPPED . COULD IT BE JUST THE COLD WEATHER OR MAY BE IT NEEDS SETTING UP AGAIN, IS IT POSSIBLE THE CHOKE IS STICKING. ANY IDEAS FOLKS BEFORE I TAKE IT TO THE LOCAL DEALERS.
