I have an xs1100 16mm master cyl driving two calipers up front. the bore sizes offer a different feel to the brakes, and not always for the better. my lever is rock hard and that's the way I like it!!

I wonder if the pilot screws have snapped off in the carbs. if you can totally unscrew the pilot screws and they have a blunt end, then thev'e snapped off. If they are as sharp as a needle then your OK on that one. does sound like running weak on the right, some xs's had different size jets etc in each carb to compensate for this kind of thing!!

fuses blow because there is a wiring problem or something is earthing out (eg rectifier) putting 20a fuses when its suposed to be 10 amp is looking for trouble and is not the way to repair electrics.

I'm running 33 front and 36 rear on my sizes!! and you can have tubeless tyres, but as MD says you gotta get some tubes in there. the only xs 400's with tubeless are the dohc ones!

shouldn't be any wobble. there's a mismatch of tyres there as mdsims says. also check steering head bearings for notchiness and slackness. what are your tyre pressures?

I got that when I put my floats too low. Had to rev and slip the clutch to get going. this is a weak fuel symtom ( for 4 strokes anyhoo!)
