  1. there's no balancer pipe with SITO's that I know of for xs400's! they are a bit long as my friend has them on his. they look well made though! can't comment on the price as don't buy exhausts from the states! drewps
  2. I'd invest in a xenon strobe lamp as it times the ignition spot on when on tick over. (try ebay only £20) you need to check the heal of each contact for wear as this will send off your timing adjutment! or just buy a new set of contacts. don't forget that the firing is done 180' as the pistons move up and down alternatly not together a la brit bikes!!

    cafe racer is from the UK perchant in the 60's to ride bikes fast (100mph) most guys hung out at cafes which were along the main roads where they raced! xs400 cafe Bobbers were from the US where the GI's back from the war "Bobbed" their bikes by shorteneing the rear fenders and lightening the look of the 50's machines, then there's "brat style" which is Japanese which is a mix of street tracker and bobber

    never used a sat nav, always pre check the route before hand and then ask people if i lose me way.(rare) the thing is, the more you do it this way, the more you tend to get a better sense of direction!

  10. carbs are brand new and cost me £20 just had to put a 135 mains in for the K&N's but may up to 138 for the "free flow " exhaust ( no baffles )

  16. I got an oil pressure gauge of ebay and wanted something different to mount it in. looking through Asda I saw this its a cup from a stainless steel flask. So i deftly cut the right holes and all i need to get is a couple of case nuts from a2a4 fixings and it should look good

  18. download the workshop manuals in the sticky at the top of this section for the torque settings! gasket kits are common, yam still supply them and athena make copy kits ( full and top end) get 'em evrywhere fleabay, motocycle shops etc!!
