wheel balancer/bead breaker?
I know about that dodge, who knows if the rim gets squashed and develops unseen cracks. I'd rather have a pro do mine thanks

Vintage helmet to go with bike
I had a lovely 80's Bell helmet, but the plastic just fell apart after a bit. you should be able to get Modern helmets retro styled (but they cost)

wheel balancer/bead breaker?
tubed tyres I do myself, but tubless I take to a specialist as they have the force necessary to move that sidewall on/off the rim

BLACK JELLY FEELING STUFF UNDER FORK COVERS
fork seals don't pop, in fact they are a real bitch to get out. They leak because there is a minute erosion between the rubber and the stanchion along with pressure from the compressed forks, forces oil past the seals. with all that gunge, its def due for renewal.

SR 125 Top end Rattle
no idea what you just replaced as you didn't actually mention it! what worked loose? the valves are pretty good unless they hit the top of the piston for some reason and then they bend. things like collets (cotters to you?) will be fine unless damaged
-
Did anyone do something interesting today
TIP: spray water on the tent, it acts like a fridge and cools the inside

Got to be seen to be believed
because they are all going slow and have a certain amount of respect for each other. otherwise it would be carnage

'77 XS360 left side not firing
points should never spark, so I recon its the condensor. Its job is to "iron out" the excess current through the contacts to make the spark jump at the right time via the coil you will also need to check the points contacts now as the sparking is a bit like arc welding and will errode the surface of the contacts making adjustment impossible.

anyone catch the redbull soapbox derby?
the spitfyres must have spent £100's of pounds on that, even though it did look good. loved the series 1 camper, coffin dodgers and usane bolt. the devil women were also great watching the driver's terrified face as she descended the course

Stellite application
Right, getting somewhere now on this selector fork what I need is the fork to be stellite welded and reground to specs. What I need to know is, does anyone recommend anywhere that can do it? All i can find is some multimillion pound dynasty who would charge the cost bike to do the job Drewps
