he's right. If the pilot mix is near the engine in front of the body its a fuel meter, so opeming the jet richen's the mix. if its located between carb body and air cleaner its an air meter and opening weakens the mix as it lets more air in!!!

few pointers... check the tyre is not rubbing on the swing arrm is the hub hot? My mates 125 did this and the previous owner "forgot" to replace a spacer hence the bearing totally collapsed. chain oiled? brake free play correct?

just done a cg125 carb, stripped and cleaned in the ultrasonic bath (from Aldi) and put together in 1 hour. doddle doodles main jet was clogged and accelerator valve stuck shut!!

it should be, on the xs400 there's 2 x 10mm bolts holding the chain wheel to the camshaft.
