in the uk it runs a pilot bulb at the front as well as the rear. Its still law that you have to leave lights on parked on an unlit road!!

you can use a 550 front end with twin disks and master cylinder. if you don't want to go that route, then a magura will do

1977 xs 360
change oil and filter, kick over withour sparkies in to get oil pressure. new battery rebuild the carbs as they will be gunged up (usually) generally service the bike and then it pretty much should be ok. they are simple machines but the camshaft runs in the head as opposed to bearings!! if you go to classics section, there is a sticky with downloads and information. drewps BTW to the forum

oil change, what kind?
I use Millars sport 20w-50 semi synth for classic engines but its £32 for 5 liters I suppose you can use GTX as I'm sure most bikers in the 70's/80's did. The yam service manual says the oil should be "SE" type and of course use Yamalube!!
